I think that'll happen too. I think people will eventually want them together once they get more development.

We haven't had a tsundere romance in the franchise I think before?

I've binged on the season the other day.

This was a mediocre episode IMHO. I suppose it's one of those necessary growth episodes after the pilot to further establish the characters, but it felt a bit too flat.

Is it wrong to say in 31 years of Transfandom, I like this Grimlock better than all the others bearing the same name? Real character builder sort of episode just seeing how everyone develops now that they've been introduced. First use of the Hammerstrike name in a TF show and I don't think he disappointed. Liking Sideswipe's "Grimbee" alter ego and can imagine the customs that'll be attempted. In all, a decent episode.

So did the US/Canadian showings of this have the longer title sequence or the shorter one?

I really enjoyed interaction between Sideswipe and Strongarm. I especially liked how they resolved at the end. I don't ship them together, but I think they could become good friends.

Steeljaw was great. He really struck me as someone who knows how to manipulate people!

I'd actually laugh if it were discovered that there is a decepticon named "Grim-bee." :lol

I'm enjoying this series so far, also! I was a bit hesitant on watching it, but I'm glad I did.

I'm loving Strongarm, Grimlock, Sideswipe, the humans, and even Bumblebee (I thought I would be too annoyed to like him after I dislike what they did with him in Prime) Also, that line when he talks to Grimlock about Earth. It feel flat because we hardly seen Bumblebee do much in Prime or explore Earth during that time, which is sad. I don't really seemed to be enjoying the music to this series.

The Decepticons are awesome and have personality especially Steeljaw and Hammerstrike! I can't wait to see more of Steeljaw. =)

Ep 3 is finally up on iTunes, and I promptly bought it. I loved the episode already the first time, but seeing it in proper HD was even better!

Finally watched episode 3. I'm on the west coast, so unless I'm getting up at 3 in the morning I'm simply not going to be able to watch this series on TV. Anyways ...

Loved this episode. I've said it before, but this shows hits a great mix between RID (OG) / Animated / and Prime. I'm very much digging the goofiness of it all with just the right amount of action.

Steeljaw, wow, what a villain. Such a smooth delivery, one that I'm going to look forward to watching.

Seeing the episode in hi-def actually let me see a couple of details I missed the first time. For one thing, I didn't realize that Hammerstrike actually crushed Bumblebee's first Decepticon Hunter while they were fighting aboard the tanker ship; I had thought that he just knocked it overboard.

I hope that IDW does Grimbee as a background character just for giggles.

I'd actually enjoy seeing any RID character show up as a background cameo. Strongarm as a random Camien, Steeljaw as some member of Starscream's staff, lots of possibilities.

Steeljaw should have his own little sitcom or comic series devoted to how he and his "team" function.
If he was in IDW, I think he should be in command of an Anarchy-inspired Decepticon force.

Decepticons,,, are they a race? a faction? or just convicts? Think about it, so far there has been little reference to any war, and so far it seems like they're just criminals (with Steeljaw & Grimlock being the exception so far)

I'm still maintaining that this is NOT the same Grimlock as the "original". (There have been, in cannon, two separate Megatrons in the same continuity.) Since Steeljaw was so anxious to "remove"/"damage" his con symbol, it might not indicate faction but might actually be Cybertronian for "Prisoner"'

I kinda wanted, Steeljaw to be a "grey" not bad/not good, character. But this big bad wolf is ohhh so bad. I wonder if he's going to try to charm Strongarm? This could set up some fascinating story potential down the road.

Okay quick technical nitpick with a prior poster: The reason Hammerstrike couldn't break free of a "mere human made container". I also thought it was a 55 gallon drum or something of that sort, but the scale would be off. So it's more likely to be possibly a ships boiler (never mind that most commercial vessels use massive diesels these days) but assuming it's a ships boiler it's pretty sturdy and designed to maintain pressure inward. The other thing is that once Grim captured Fish-boy he lost all his momentum and presumably his arms were in a position that he couldn't exert enough of his strength to break his container. Run though a ship's hull at speed? No problem. Lift an shipping container over his head? Doable. I think it would be the equivalent of wrapping up a person in shrink wrap. By itself anyone can tear it to shreds, but wrap multiple passes around your waist and wrists, binding your forearms to your sides? We've done it as a prank to co-workers, it's surprisingly effective. (Yes, we did once shrink wrap a supervisor to a pallet, he lost $20 because he thought he could break free. We had to cut him out. Really!)

I was going to say something like "I hope it was on lunch break" but you said supervisor so...
