Cautiously optimistic, the fact they've mixed the team up is cool, but then there's the vehicons, although at least they're less likely to kill someone off in the first episode because dark! edgy! to make everyone OP for the rest of the series, massacring vehicons because there's only a hint that they're people too in a more kid friendly looking series. But ratchet don't hurt the miners, they're people too.
At least some Prime episodes were alright but the same writers get me worried.
The Shockwave chests on a lot of them bugs me, but don't mind the fact some people have it so I'll get bee at least and see how the others look.

They just didn't give a damn when they made Bee. Remember how cleaverly hidden the car top was on Vehicon's legs?

Splat. There it is on Bee. Lazy. Ugly. Pass.

Seems a tad redundant to have a separate wiki for one TV show (that isn't out yet) when there's already a TFWiki.
That said, I am cautiously optimistic about RID. It reminds me of Animated, which was my main TF series as a kid along with reruns of TF:Cybertron.

Exactly! I don't mind if it's for children, as long as it has a bit of wit and effort behind it. :)

    Yeah, I am.

I'm hoping that TF:RID will answer some questions, like how's the to the rest of team prime or predacons doing or if they actually exist in this episode, what really happened to Airachnid not just guessing that they all drained each other out of energon, Soundwave did he escape from the shadowzone, and little things like that.

I've been doing some thinking about the new RiD cartoon. Specifically about Grimlock and the Cons.

Honestly, looking at the Autobot lineup, I'm not really interested in them. Which makes me sad, because I hate the cliche of villains being more interesting than the heroes.

Out of all of them, Grimlock is the one I'm most excited for. I like the concept of him being a prisoner turned Autobot hero, so I hope the execution of it is okay. His paintjob...I like for the most part, but if I had to be 100% honest, I'm not a fan of his face. The orange just sort of stands out in a way I'm not too fond of. I do love the mix of black and green. Love those colors.

His dino mode...looks silly to me. I have no issue with going down a stylized path, but I think I would have preferred they push the envelope a bit. Is it confirmed he's actually based off of a T-Rex? If not, I would have hoped they add some more to his design. Bigger teeth, some spikes, thin him out, maybe. As it stands, he looks a bit...fat to me. Maybe he'll look better when I see him.

Honestly, I'm more interested in seeing the Cons. Bisk looks cool, and I wouldn't be against getting his toy if it looks good. Thunderhoof also looks ridiculously cool, so I might get him too. I really like (though I don't understand) the fact that all the Cons resemble animals. I hope the Autobots get some animal themed characters. As it stands, the Cons have them beat in style. In my humble opinion.

Could be they wanted to pull something like the movie did, where the Decepticons appeared more insectoid like in their design compared to the more human Autobots. If that's the case the idea is utilized much better here, each Decepticon we've seen looks like they'll be fun and interesting characters.

With that said I'm actually looking forward to this show, I mean yeah it's a big change from the style Prime gave us but the show looks fun enough and seriously when was the last time we had a season with this many original characters? And with such fun names and designs at that.

I am cautiously optimistic. I'm not in love with the animation style but I don't think it is terrible (or fair to judge without seeing full episodes) and Strongarm is great for several reasons.

I've been though enough relaunches now that every one is a chance to get things right. Being also a Star Trek fan, you must consider the alternative that at least we're getting new Transformers shows and not relegated to one bad movie every few years ONLY. (*cough* *cough*)

I've just been so busy with real-life that I haven't kept up with this board as much as I'd like. When is this show coming out?

I always try to see the good in everything, and I find Transformers TV shows to be the most accessible form of TF fiction (I love the comics, but I'm WAAAAY behind on them and can only afford so much when I'm not working). And at least in my opinion, the shows also seem to be the place where the most "new" ideas for the franchise come from, whether they be entirely new characters, radical reimaginings of old ones, or just plain not-G1 stuff. The Beast era was the first to break with the old traditions, and I found that Animated and Prime both carried that spirit as well (I guess I could say that the Unicron Trilogy was also a source of new ideas, but I just didn't care much for it and barely watched any of Armada, Energon, or Cybertron). So, with that being the case-- yes, I am excited for RiD. I like the idea of Bumblebee as leader, I think the new Grimlock is cool, Strongarm looks like she'll be an awesome, unconventional female character (at least in design terms), and besides all that, it's a continuation of Prime, which I loved. Naturally, I wanna see what happens next.

I'm sure people will tell me I'm way too easily impressed or something, but I stand by it.

I might watch the show. Finally decided to watch some of the trailers today after getting a few of the toys. It looks pretty...fun, actually. Without the SUPER SERIOUS(yet super childish and immature) feel of Prime, the premise is really allowed to be much more imaginative and fun, with far out enemies that I find much more interesting than the Autobots.

Frankly I want figures of all the 'Cons. I've got Warrior Steeljaw and OSC Underbite and I'm beginning to like them more than Generations/Combiner Wars.

I think this might be one of the only kid's shows I may pay attention to, so I am excited.

    I'm more intrigued than excited.

TF Prime was a fun but extremely flawed show. I expect more of the same here.

TF animated media has a long way to go to reach the richness and lore of Korra style shows or the young adult themes of the DC animated movies.

So much material to work with but Transformers is arguably one of the most under serviced mainstream brands when it comes to high quality TV and video games.

I'm interested. Not excited, but interested.

It looks way better then Prime, actually having fun rather then being 'SUPA DARK AND GRITTY'. The characters are a load of fun so far, and the Decepticon designs are way better.

But on the other hand, it's made by the same people who made Prime.
