Ken Watanabe would be cray cray expensive to have reprise for a cartoon....especially if Drift is a recurring character. He works for a live action movie because they afford him and cost him not too much of his time.

They just need to cast actors who'd actually give a shit, it worked for Jeffrey Combs and Ernie Hudson.

 

I hope this show will have Drift's Decepticon history exposited. He's by now as famous for it as Jetfire, it would make for a great history if done right.

 

I hope he starts out as a Decepticon and switiches sides
