Needs of a cartoon that will probably be seen by millions and bring in the toy $$ easily beats out comic that maybe sells a few 100Ks copies per issue.

 

It would put a giant smile on my face if SkyByte were part of Rid2. Retain his love of poetry, retain him as comic relief, but maybe make him a bit more competent. People forget he was pretty good at his job until the Decepticons showed up. He nearly wasted the entire Autobot team single handedly in "The Hunt for Black Pyramid."

Seriously Sky Byte might be great and all being a Blue Mechanical Shark that likes to sing but compared to a Purple Robot that's a train and a space shuttle it's no contest.

Space shuttles are lame. Trains are lame. And they're both useless except for transporting other Decepticons. But mass shifting is garbage so.  

Sky-Byte's alt-mode is agile and powerful in both melee and projectile attacks. Plus it is extremely efficient for travel by air, land, and sea. Probably space too.

Astrotain's colors are lame too. Purple and grey are trying too hard to be dark and cliche-evil. Sky-Byte has a unique and appealing color-scheme and is one of the most endearing and relatable characters in the whole franchise. His relative obscurity outside the fanbase is a crime.

Astrotrain's character is completely under-developed and one-dimensional. Nobody likes him except he's "cool". But Sky-Byte is cooler.

Therefore, my dear friend.

I don't know, I think Rocky might be a bit of a longshot to get into a Transformers show.

Seriously though, I'd like to see Sky-Bite show up again. I miss those villains who are entertaining in a genuinely funny way, and Sky-Bite would fit that bill pretty well. And if they can keep him a credible threat too, so much the better.

while the personality may fit into a show with a "Gamer lobster con", It looks like the show is Beastifying the con's "bot" mode so I don't see him having a bot with a shark alt mode but rather have a beastly bot with a vehicular alt.

I could see Sky-Byte sharing the Knockout design. They have simmiliar head designs and the BH "Croc-Out" tooling could work as a shark too.

Yes because a flying metal shark that sings is much more useful and inconspicuous than a Train and a Space shuttle.  

What do you mean underdeveloped character? Astrotrain is in a triple changer relationship with Blitzwing and Octane they had the first Cybetronian marriage which was a great storyline especially the honey moon issues oh god those were hilarious!

And not to mention Astrotrain's human sidekick Tommy Armstrong or Astrotrain's little team of Minicons: Starcatcher, Astro-Hook, Astro-Line and Astro-Sinker. Would kick the scrap out of ol' Sky-Bytey.

stfu about Purple that's the best colour ever, my ideal colour scheme for Astrotrain is White and Purple I'll have to agree the Grey is quite meh.
