That still causes problems. It can't be an older version of Optimus Primal because he's in his season 1 body. He went threw several upgrades and deaths after that so there's no point in the American continuity that matches up with his Japanese appearance. Unless he was some how brought back to life in his original body after his death in Beast Machines. That's the only place it could really fit. I think maybe part of the reason for the continuity error is maybe because BWII was made before season 2 and 3 AKA Beast Wars Metals in Japan. So they just assumed that Primal would still be in the same body and would eventually be a much more important character in the future.

thats 1 of the questions I mentioned, but its not really a problem.
remember, in the start of Beast Machines america, they were all "somehow" back in their season 1 bodies.

so him being older and back in an older body is very easy to fix.

Sorry, I did mean no series properly explains Cybertronian alt modes. Perhaps the Cybtronian forms can never be permanently removed. It might be they can switch between them at will.

Never mind. I'm trying to ask when it was said that all the Decepticons on Earth had been captured?

Maybe Wasp just felt like changing his colours.

Just because the helmets are similar, it doesn't mean they are the same. And the differences are permanent, not an animation error.

The armour may have been introduced because of a toy that was based on the armour he used earlier, but that doesn't mean that it's the same armour in the cartoon.

Good point but it is possible Ratchet just simply doesn't bother for the usual "revenge won't bring back the dead person" reason that heroes usually use. Also, like you said, he's a medic. He doesn't exactly have the training to go around picking fights.

OK, that is kind of an error.

I doubt Lockdown based his vehicle form around the EMP generator. He likely just uses a normal engine after he lost the EMP.

OK, I am certain that was never said in the cartoon at all.

She transformed her hand in season three but it did happen before she upgraded herself, so I guess you might be right that she could always transform. That said, I still think we would have gotten a proper explanation if season 4 was made.

I did say they weren't all continuity errors.

I mean their desire to destroy Earth was ignored by the Maximals.

BW Megatron was trying to destroy the Ark, which had the Decepticons on board as well. Even if G1 Megatron's spark was safe, he'd have no body, no followers and nothing to use to make contact with Cybertron.

Hey guys, the TFA/BW debate needs to head on over to TF:GD. Let's keep the topic centered around Prime/RID2 here.

    Thanks :)

Agreed, there was some talk that TFP would not get a third season.

I *DO* find Transformers "meh" right now, but not because of RiD.

My local retail stores are clogged with TF4 merchandise, most offensively the Transformers that don't transform, (KRE-O, Build a Bot, whatever those Barbie/Action Masters are called, non-toy movie tie-ins) But even when I find something I want, (Generations Whirl, Masterpiece Prow, etc.) I have to keep it in a box until my son is old enough to play with it without daddy's head exploding.

So the fun of being a "man-child" is replaced with being a responsible dad (let's just say the end of the LEGO movie hit a little close to home.)

A lot of Transformers shows disappointed me: (G1 Season 3, Armada, Prime)

But others have exceeded my expectations: (Beast Wars, Animated, Rescue Bots)

So really, I'll give it a few episodes before I cast judgement.

Even then, some series actually DO get better: (Beast Wars, Unicron Trillogy,)

    So really, you never know.
