On the subject of Justice League, I say it gets better after the first season. Plus, you could skip to Unlimited and 'start fresh' if you don't feel like giving the original JL another shot.

    hahahahahaha.

Nope that will always go to Energon. 2nd worst.....it could be for some but the absolute worst.

Energon has no true merits, while Prime has some.

Yeah. I heard that the people working on the show were surprised, when there wasn't much vocal outrage about its cancellation. Didn't surprise me though. The characters, I always felt, failed to connect with the audience in any way. So while people were watching it, it seems there wasn't much emotional investment in what was going on.

Hm. That's reassuring to hear. I might have to give it another shot based on that.

Yes, I did!! And I'd do it again!! Mwahaha!! But like I said- I might give it another shot.

Yeah. My favorite character wound up being Ahsoka, simply because she was one of the few, whose fate we didn't know. And as an aspiring Jedi, she still had a lot of hurdles to leap along her journey. She seemed to have more going on in the personality department than the others, but that's not hard to do in a room full of paper-thin people.

For me, I was expecting the series to develop their characters a bit more. To show what these people were like beyond "brave Jedi knight" or "spunky politician". Instead I saw a show, where they didn't even mention that Anakin and Padme were married until the final episode of season 1. That, to me, is bad writing, when you can't even include important details like that in your establishing episodes.
Season 2 did get a little better with showing the characters doing stuff that didn't relate directly to their jobs, and exploring their characters a little more, but it still felt pretty lean. I keep thinking I should try and press forward through season 3, but man those first 2 seasons felt like a chore.

It relates to the topic at hand! It really does. :D

That might be the way to do it. I think maybe, if I give it another go, I'll try picking up where I left off. And if it doesn't improve in a hurry, I'll just jump to season 2 or Unlimited.

On an aside, this topic has given me an idea for a new discussion. :D

And this post is pointless to those who read it.

    Seriously, be constructive.

Put it this way it nominated/won more acclaimed awards then any other transformer shows or movies in history. So yes watch, get immersed and enjoy.

I enjoyed it except the last few episodes before the ending because it looks rushed.

there is nothing constructive about transformers prime, except for the giant pile of wasted material that the writers were unable to even build into a cohesive story

Blame the budget, not the writers. They were rushed into writing, considering that the animation was costing them.

You have no idea how writing works, clearly.

While there are some flaws, I still love TFP. I definitely think the good moments outweigh the bad by a long shot. Just finished up the first season on my second complete viewing of the show.

Also, this version of Starscream is seriously my favorite. I basically loved any scene with him in it.

Then do explain. We could have had a much better story over time had there been as many episodes as S1 and S2. Compare S3's 13 episodes, to S1's 20-something.

    This ^
Same case for me, in addition to Beast Wars. If I had only given Best Wars the first two episodes to hook me I would have never found out why everyone considers it such a great show.

Because length =/= quality. It's called pacing. I'd argue Prime's season 3 was better than its season 2.

Same. Beast Wars didn't truly hook me till the Season 1 finale arc.

I probably would have not watched Animated at all, since I based my opinion of the show from their first teaser pics and unfinished clips before it aired.

"On Leather Wings" from Batman: TAS didn't get me hooked....glad I stuck around all to the end of Justice League, with Superman: TAS and Batman Beyond thrown in as well....1992 to 2006, that's a hell of a hook.

Could you imagine if a bunch of us judged "The Transformers" (yes, that's the actual title, not "G1", not "Transformers", including all products of the time) based on the 2 episodes "Transport to Oblivion" and "Roll for It" and left the franchise alone?

No but Emmy awards are so I arguably Prime is the best Transformers show as they have the most Emmy awards. :)

Is TF Prime truly that great? Only asking those who've watched the all the seasons.

I've been a long time fan of anything TF but I was turned off by the first few episodes. My favorite character finally had an appearance but was brutally killed (at least in my opinion) in the first episode. He is not revived, either. I felt a sense of loss which made it more real but also disappointing. I've been tempted to try it again because I really liked the dark theme.

As a Transformers show YES! As a cartoon show it is above average. Better then the x-men cartoon of the 90s but not as good as Bat Man TAS or JLU.

PS Cliffjumper is the man an IDW!!! "Show time!"
His one shot is one of my favs.

I enjoyed the X-men cartoon of the 90s but I'm a huge fan of it in general.

Perhaps I should give Prime another shot. Actually, Cliffjumper's short appearance in Prime increased my liking of him. I think his character was spot on.

I'll have to come back and post my opinion once I've watched all the episodes.
