I think it's time for one of these threads now that we got some information about the new show.

We got Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Fixit and a elite guard cadet and a bombastic Dinobot coming to Earth to stop a new rogue Decepticon faction.

I'm already looking forward to this.

Digging those character designs! But I'm still having trouble imagining them in motion. Fingers crossed for a female dinobot that towers over her teammates!

 

I've grown too used to the darker themes, I don't know if I'll enjoy this.

 

All I'll say, remember how animated was sold as light and fluffy. then remember where it was by season 3

They've already started, I don't see why they'd stop now.

 

So the new cartoon's gonna be called "Transformers: Robots in Disguise"....
That's all well and good for Hasbro, but now we have two cartoons (and, likely, 2 cartoon-based toy lines) called "Transformers: Robots in Disguise"
With any luck, the new one won't have too many characters who happen to share a name with characters from the English Dub of Transformers: Car Robots.

ANYWAYS, good to see that Hasbro hasn't forgotten about then. Guess they were waiting for the AoE and RotSP to have its time before putting more PR into this show. Which is fine... don't want to oversaturate the market, I guess.

Anyways, I'm hoping Fixit isn't too much like Wheelie... curious about the Dinobot. I'll be sorely disappointed if it was Grimlock, if only because they feels like the safest route to go. As for the Cadet... hmmm... call me crazy, but... Red Alert maybe?

 

I forsee Scorn or Swoop being the Dinobot and Windblade the Elite Guard Cadet.

Or, in a loooong stretch, the name Sledge finally being used for a dinobot, as an Ankylosaurus.

 

Sideswipe being a reformed Knock Out could be interesting. I see the cadet possibly being the fembot of the group. I don't think the Dinobot will be one of the main five, but if it is, I hope it's Snarl.

I'm hoping that Fixit isn't the only Minicon we see. While maybe not something as grand as Armada, I would like to see a return of the Minicons.

I wasn't sure before, but I'm now confident that Optimus is gone for good. He'll make cameos via his force ghost, but that'll be it.

Given the return to Earth, I'm wondering what kinda shape Ratchet is in. Hopefully he's still kicking around with the fleshlings. Though maybe it's his death that gets Bee and crew to come back.

The new faction of Decepticons could be interesting. I have the feeling that Galvatron could be involved. Though other than that, I'm not really sure what we could see. Since this is RIDII, I kinda hope we see the return of some of the original RID characters. Like Scourge and Sky-Byte. Maybe even Ruination.

I am so happy to know I am not the only one thinking Sideswipe is KnockOut in his new body and Autobot identity. ^^ Also, if Windblade does show up in RID I will literally go bananas. XD

You forgot to mention the 'hyperactive Mini-Con' It's a five man crew.

I'm super excited over this cast. Finally no prime and what seem to be a fairly random cast. I know people are going to wish for Grimlock and other named guys but i'm hoping the Dinobot and mini and Con Team are totally new.

 

Thats what I'm hoping- Sideswipe is Knockout. Something about his face just looks Knockout-ish.

If he is KO, the only thing left to make my day is for Predaking/Predacons to be in it.

 

Fixit is going to be the new Wheelie of the fandom. I don't want him to be but chances are...

 

I don't like the designs.I willl watch it but that's it.Didn't like Animated either.The story is not the problem,the designs are but that's just me.I'm a Movie-verse fan,I like complex and real looking things
