I think this is pretty similar to another thread(s ?) we had not too long ago..I'll remember what I had answered then.

The best things Prime has given us:

-I agree with you here, MasterZero: Steve Blum as Starscream! I want this guy to stop voicing everything else he does and be Starscream forever. I too didn't like the route the character has taken in the show, but that voice was perfect.
The way he talks when he's scheming, when he's aggressive, when he's sobbing, when he's in utter despair....Steve Blum nailed it.

    -Vehicons!

    Steve is pretty awesome.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa....Whoa. Calm down there, buddy. He can keep voicing Starscream AND keep voicing the other amazing characters he does.

    Amon.
    Ghostfreak.
    Wolverine.
    Killer Croc.
    Grunt.
Generic Grunts in the Arkham series.

The Many Voices of Steve Blum - YouTube
I don't know why, but I love the way Steve says "Sherman." Its hilarious!

Oh yeah, Wolverine too of course! Was drawing a blank there.

I enjoyed playing Arkham City and beating up bad guys, only to hear Steve Blum and John DiMaggio. Felt like I was beating up Wolverine and Jake from Adventure Time :lol

No, get back in the cage Steve, back in the cage! From now on it's Starscream (not Shockwave)! :poke

(Shudders) I love Steve, but his voice just did not blend well with Shockwave, for me.

...Made a cool sounding Swindle though.

    Ahem.

I really liked the look of Shockwave in Prime. His voice was good too. Wish he had some better lines, but still, he sounded deep and attention grabbing, which I want him to sound like.

Voice actors and designs take my vote. Steve Blum was a fantastic Starscream, and if only Sue Blu was on longer for voice direction the others would be just as grand. Dreadwing, Knockout and Bumblebee during Predacons Rising were all brilliant as well, Jeffrey Combs WOULD be up there, but I felt as though his Ratchet had a certain tick that was just a little difficult to move away from for when the mood of the episode changed. I loved some of the designs, specifically Soundwave and Starscream. Though after a while I've begun to wish that Starscream had some more bulk to him and be, you know, threatening.

I'll agree that Knockout is pretty much the best character in the show, he was always the light of entertainment among the otherwise gloomy Decepticons until maybe beast hunters. He was awesome whenever he was paired up with Starscream, and was also the only Decepticon who had a conclusion that made sense within the story, something rare when it comes to Decepticons in Prime. The one thing that seemed to bother me about Knockout was late in season 3 where some of his dialogue, example, "Although I will say they manufacture some fine-looking automobiles." felt like it had a Marvel comics Intro-Dump level of interest put into it. Other than that I would watch a show starring him, Starscream and Predaking in a heartbeat.

    In no particular order:

    -Unicron being the Earth
    -Star Hammer's design
    -Scraplets
-devastated Cybertron looks more damaged than G1's version
    -Miko in the armor
    -a lot of the on-screen slo-mo moments
-close-ups of facial reactions that made you chuckle and/or giggle
-Autobot base going boom made me go "  ", like it did in G1 and Beast Wars

Great write up, i agree with all of this. Its too rarely said but Optimus is done great, people say hes dull but that is not the point of the way of his character.. Have to say i like what they did with most the characters, they really cranked everybody up.

The epicness of the main storylines and jeopardy you feel for the bots be they Decepticon or Autobot is really powerful and well executed in Prime. To me that is unique to Prime. Each little sway in the balance of power is felt. To such an extent i have to give kudos because this was a kids show after all, goodness knows what they felt even if they didnt kill Bulkhead when they were meant too. The show still has enough emotion.

I liked Knockout well enough, but I think the big winner out of Prime was setting a new standard in Alt-Modes for Soundwave.

    Here's my list.

Best versions of Arcee,Starscream,Soundwave,Predaking and Breakdown so far.

    Very nice animation.

Designs that take the best from the movies and Animated designs.

Music being nice despite not being that special.

Taking risks every now and then when done right.

Fun new characters like Knockout and Airachnid.

Interesting ideas like Unicron being inside Earth and Nemesis Prime being an earth made creation.

    Knockout
Quite possibly the most fabulous Decepticon of all time.

    Vehicons
Uniformity among Cannon fodder troops was only done once before with the Autotroopers in Animated and their numbers were exclusive to Botcon 2011. It was also cool that the Vehicons came in three distinct flavors (Ground Vehicle, Jet, and "Seeker")(Not so cool that we only got the Ground Vehicle and Cyberverse version of the Jet Vehicon)

    Makeshift
    So much wasted Potential.

    The Rock Cliffjumper
Can you smell What the CLIFF. IS. COOKIIIIIIIIIIIIIN'?!!!!!!!!
Nah, but seriously, The Rock as Cliffjumper was awesome for as little screentime as he had as Cliffjumper.

This was the first real attempt by Hasbro to put a Femmebot in a really prominent role. So that.
I also liked Knock Out. He was entertaining.
    Airachnid was cool.
    The dragon preds.
    Dark Energon, zombieformers.
A more down to earth Unicron.
Soundwave in a prominent cartoon role.

Prime, in my opinion, would have been a lot better if they had just cut most of the second season. It just ran on to long, and with the ways the budget was spent, there just wasn't much storytelling they could really have done. If it had been shorter I would have liked it a lot more.

Blackarachnia practically was the plot of BW during season 2.

How you could possibly say that befuddles me.

It gave us new characters like Knockout and Predaking.

My Favorite Incarnations of Starscream, Soundwave, Arcee, Ratchet, Smokescreen, Ultra Magnus and Bumblebee (predacons rising)

    Steve Blum as Starscream

    Jeffrey Combs as Ratchet

    Daran Norris as Knockout

A chance for Frank Welker to do a decent Megatron voice for once.

Solid Voice acting from the entire voice cast (aside from Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime)

Best human character in the form of Agent Fowler

What possibly could be the return of the Beasts in a way.....well tied between the FOC and AOE Dinobots.

Great concepts like MECH, which i hope will be used again in later series (and done better obviously)

    Really solid toys all round.

Very fluid and sophisticated CGI, perhaps the most well done CGI i've seen a cartoon do.

Many great fight scenes (when its not a laser spam battle)

Bumblebee finally getting his voice back, after the last 4 or 5 years of being mute.

Honestly I can't wait for people to actually start appreciating this show, while not perfect or great as BW or TFA....it's solid all things consider on its merits, enough to get casual viewers to be fans.

A lot of my love for Prime stems from pure, sweet nostalgia; especially season two when the show was at its' low point. I miss how fun and simple Prime was when it started out in its' first season. I have a special attachment to the show for playing Ratchet in a Formspring RP community. Meaning I felt the long gap between seasons, so I didn't particularly mind when the status quo was restored in between seasons. Doesn't mean they're any less valid a fault about the show, but I digress.

The voice actors. Regardless of their characters' depictions, all the voice actors bar Peter Cullen and Sumalee Montanno did excellent jobs. It was also really fun and heartwarming to hear how much the cast bonded over the show's three years. Peter was the group's father figure, KMR and Daran Norris were the jokesters, and Peter Mensah's comically serious attitude. They also had great choices in VA's like Steve Blum, Michael Ironside, John Noble, and Jeffrey Combs.

When they wanted to, they showed how badass Megatron could be and why he is leader of the Decepticons. He's good enough to manipulate Ratchet to help him, and his fight with the Insecticon was like a gorilla beating his chest, as savage, proud and feral as he was in that fight.

Ratchet is the best character and I loved him from start to end. Here we had an Autobot who was Optimus' best friend, but still was xenophobic towards humans before growing out of it. I also enjoyed the new takes on Predaking, Breakdown, Dreadwing, Wheeljack and Knock Out.

Probably the coolest concept was that Unicron was the Earth. He was finally planet-sized, could interact with the cast via his avatars, and was a worthy incarnation of the character. John Noble played the hell out of his role, and I loved the apocalyptic feel of One Shall Fall and One Shall Rise Parts 1-2. Of course, he was immediately and anti-climacticly taken out of the show until Predacons Rising. Great.

I also liked the idea that the Autobots took pains to hide their base, and when the Decepticons finally found it, it was a truly heartbreaking and painful defeat for them. Darkest Hour remains the most powerful episode of the show for me besides Stronger Faster.

There's nothing really that I'd want to see again besides a character like Dreadwing, Breakdown or Predaking. Animated gave me characters like Lockdown, Lugnut and Blitzwing that I wanted copy-pasted into the next show, voice actors, design and all. Dreadwing, Predaking and Breakdown are the only ones I really would love to see again.

I keep forgetting how awesome Megatron was, definitely the best non-IDW one around.

All the voice actors were fantastic, they should absolutely be the first choices to depict their respective characters in future.
