Optimus Prime is like a boomerang. He started out a Prime, he became normal, and then became a Prime again. And the fact that he never stays dead. That too.

This is a little off-topic but I really think that the covenant has given this continuity a rich history. Would any of you perhaps like this history to be explored in television series? I truly think that the whole, "Transformers on Earth" story is overused. I would love to see a Prime prequel instead of a sequel that could start at the beginning and catalog the life of the Original primes, their battle with Unicron, their war with themselves and the creation of Cybertronian civilization perhaps going until the Great Cataclysm.

I would like for their history to be explored in this manner. Would any of you?

I would also like a separate show to catalog the quintesson imprisonment and any other history from the cataclysm to the caste system.

Then another show to catalog the beginnings of megatron, orion pax, and the great war until the exodus.

Then perhaps another show to catalog the transformers' trip through the cosmos.

Then we would have been sufficiently caught up. :)  What do you all think? Would you like to see any of these shows? I want to see the first one the best! Any ideas, improvements? Did I miss anything? Would you all like to see this too? I'm just wondering.

SORRY FOR BEING OFF TOPIC, THIS THREAD SEEMED TO BE THE BEST ONE IN WHICH TO TALK ABOUT THE 13

It would be awesome if Hasbro did a TFP prequel movie about the Covenant of Primus!

Someone want to run this by me again? Are you telling me The Fallen is actually meant to be a tragic hero, exiling himself because he's sad he killed someone? Are you serious? Someone want to tell me what happened to this badass?

I'd be most excited about the potential figures we could get from a Covenant based series. Prima, Nexus, and A3 would be awesome to have.

Because you're thinking of The Fallen from previous continuities who lacks any sort of character beyond being on fire and a Herald of Unicron? Because really, that's all The Fallen has ever been.

I think it's nice to repaint him as something with a bit more depth.

Perhaps? I mean, nobody save Optimus knew Alpha Trion was one of the Thirteen Primes. And Alpha's been around since forever. So clearly chunks of history were lost.

Yup, Aligned Megatronus lacks the whole 'servant of Unicron' thing.

After they'd defeated Unicron and everything, the Liege Maximo was experimenting with creating robotic war beasts, with Megatronus and Quintus's help, but the other Primes decided it was unethical. Wanting a scapegoat, Maximo manipulated Megatronus and Solus, who were in love, into a vicious argument, which ended with Megatronus accidentally killing her with his Requiem Blaster. After the ensuing 'war of the Primes' (in which Maximo dies), Megatronus dubs himself 'the Fallen' and leaves into space, hoping to do good in Solus's memory.

Now that I think about it, Optimus being one of the original Thirteen isn't all that bad. Even he was tainted by Unicron's sheer power during that battle before the beginning. Let's see how future works deal with this small but large piece of detail.

I meant the characterization of Megatronus Prime. Based on translations of earlier New Testament texts, Judas could be said to be betraying the historical Jesus over, or simply turning him over. That might suggest that the two in fact worked together on this.

The Multiversal Singulartiy crap is just that: Crap.

Think about it for half a second. Only ONE version of them exists in the infinity of universes? Really? You know what that makes them?

Utterly, fantastically, totally, and completely, useless.

Only able to exist in one universe at a time not only contradicts every single continuity and story ever, but it means they can only, by the very nature, impact that one particular universe in any fashion. Which means in the big multiversal stories: They're not even a grain of sand on all the beaches across all the infinite realities.

Also, the Singularity thing was pretty much during the Cybertron era and barely touched up on since then. Even Hasbro pretty much dropped the idea nowadays, what with Aligned and the movie universe both ignoring the concept, as did pretty much everything we got after Cybertron.

And even during Cybertron, it was barely touched up on. It had no impact on the TV series and none on the toyline.

The fun thing, when you consider it a certain way, Megatron himself parallels his namesake at the end of the Predacons Rising movie.

Both he and Optimus do that, the similarity wasn't lost on me in the slightest. In a way it's history repeating itself. Ironically, we know that Megatronus (the Prime) still exists and is somewhere out there in the galaxy. Would be interesting if the Ex-Warlord met the Ex-Prime.

I smell a sitcom! Megatron-Us! Coming this fall to the Hub! After xx-million years Megatronus is ready to get back in the dating game, but his new wing man Megatron's homicidal tendencies result in hilarious hijinks!

Optimus being the Thirteenth ISN'T really bad, it's just really, really unsettling to a lot of people, including myself. Thinking about it, this means that Optimus Prime is not only on a completely different level of being over Megatron, but is already thousands of years older than him along with the rest of the Autobots and Decepticons alike. I think it's just a common preference that Optimus Prime should be on more equal footing with the other Autobots than with the Multiversal Beings of the ancient past. The worst thing about Optimus Prime being the thirteenth is that it seems to imply that he's always been great, bringing out a certain Gary Stu vibe from him.

Critics call it hilarious, a laugh riot!
