    Pretty much all this.

On a completely unrelated note, did anyone ever tell you that you can change the direction of rotation of prime's gun in your sig with your mind?

I should've worded it better, but that's what I meant since the beginning. In season 3, he wasn't a use to ANYBODY. Yeah, sure he accomplished a lot by himself in season 2, but that was because he had to. His contributions to the Decepticons was little to none, which is why Megatron should've put a hole in him. But the writers want to keep lame humor in the show for certain people to giggle at, so it didn't want him to die.

That's probably why his death was simply foreshadowed rather than shown. They don't want to make the fans of him whine.

Y'know how Megatron was denied oneness with the All Spark/Matrix/whatever because he stabbed himself with dark energon way back when (pretty much why we had MegaCron)? Y'know how Starscream was all "SYMBIOSIS!" when he necroed Skyquake in Shadow Zone? I wonder if the next writers will bother to remember that or just let it be... :x

Bet theyll have him as a ghost. :D

Id love to see Starscream join the AllSpark one day. With all the people he's backstabbed and pissed off I imagine it'd be a really awkward arrival. XD

I assumed they kept him because Starscream messing up was the easiest way to advance the plot (Writer 1: "hey the Cons still have a ton of troops...." Writer 2:"Oh yeah....well....just have Starscream mess up." Or, Writer 1:"How can Wheeljack escape?" Writer2: "Oh, just have Starscream mess up." ) The PR movie? Yeah I agree, probably for fans. If anybody deserved an onscreen death, it was him.

I totally agree there was no real reason for Megatron to keep him around in the last half of season 3. By that point, Starscream had lost them every advance he'd helped them gain.

I think he went soul searching.

His recent epiphany has reeling away from things of old in search of who he is and what he truly needs to be.

I think Megatron will be something of an antihero in future shows, occasionally helping out when the next evil threat appears.

I seriously doubt Predaking killed him.

If there's one thing we should now about Predaking from watching this show, it's that he's very much an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth type of guy.

Buckle up, Starscream, it's going to be one hell of a ride:lol

    Edit:

I figure he later joined the Autobots, and helped rebuild their world.

With Megatron gone and the Decepticons disbanded, all he's got left is Cybertron...which the Autobots control now.

Shockwave isn't evil, at least that's not how he's been portrayed as of late, so...

No one knows. I'm guessing, Megatron goes into self imposed exile but in the next series goes back to being evil. Starscream is possibly killed or tortured. Maybe even turned into a Predacon.

Not sure about 'Scream, but 5 minutes after Megatron flew off he heard that Prime sacrificed himself, so enough soul-searching for him. He made a u-turn and ruled unopposed from them on.

Biggest pile of bullshit I've seen in a while.

Megs left so they can still make toys of him in the future.

And Starscream is the physically weakest of the Decepticons. The only one he stood a chance against physically was Arcee. Picture three Predacons mauling him. Even if they didn't aim to kill him, frankly the trauma from three Predacons "taking it easy" on him is enough to kill him. But remember, toys! That's why Megatron and Shockwave survived, and why Optimus' newest death won't be permanent.

If that old Walmart listing is to be believed (and judging how there is a Rattrap coming our way now, it seems like it has some credibility) isn't there one more Megatron toy coming up from Prime? (And I'm not talking about the Leader Class one in Generations.)

Yes there is. It's called in the listings Sentinel Megatron I think. It's likely to be a brand new mold.

How is it being a new mold "likely"? It could be absolutely anything for all we know.

True but then seeing as we're getting some upscaled Voyager figures for BH like Optimus or in Predaking's case a new one I'm not sure Megatron's going to be a retool of the RID mold since we've already gotten that in BH. I may be wrong though.

    Starscrram just flew away.
    Yep.
    That's it.
For all we know he's on the other side of the galaxy getting a sex change.
That would not take too much.

At first I thought the "Sentinel" in his name was referring to the Prime arm he gets in the show and that it would be a retool of the original Voyager, but apparently the arm was actually
    Liege Maximo's
    .

    So really, who knows.

I'm guessing they left things rather open ended so kids have some play pattern left in that void between Transformer Prime ending and the fourth live action film. If you don't tie things up too neatly then kids get to make their own stories about how Starscream might have weaseled out of certain death yet again or how Megatron still ends up bad even though he's not in the oppression business. This is the same series that decided not to tie up the Airachnid story too tightly so is it shocking to leave things open to the viewer's imagination?

If the next series isn't some sort of continuation of Prime then just make up your own resolution to the loose ends. Have Starscream escape and become a folk singer, have Megatron become some sort of robot monk, with no real answers just let your mind run wild.
