So how many relics, special weapons, etc were there in the end?

Off the top of my head:

    Tox-En
    The Phase Shifter
The Forge of Solus Prime (hammer)

Right, but that's not a complete list. The immobilizer isn't there, for example. Or the red energon.

    I merely provided the link as a start, although Red Energon was naturally occurring;

Kinda disgusted that this is the be-all end-all plot device for Transformers over the majority of it's tenure.

    Beast Wars
    Robots in Disguise
    Armada
    Cybertron
    TF 2007
    Revenge of the Fallen
    Dark of the Moon
    Animated
    Prime

All of their plots are driven by something being on Earth that shouldn't be there, either by their own hand or someone else, and now they have to recollect it.

It was kinda fun at first, but I'm sick of the "race for the artifacts" which is the cornerstone of every Transformers series now.

    YouTube (Custom URL):
The show should have been named Transformers: Endless Scavenger Hunts.

Reminds me of when the relic hunts first started and nobody knew how pointless and drawn out that affair would be. We jokingly called the show "Xaoiln-formers"

    How naive we were.

Wait, wasn't RiD happening because the Predacons were out to amass a massive amount of Energon by stealing energy sources from humans?

I'm willing to give you Beast Wars because of the stasis pods and Energon, and the rest are pretty much spot on, but I don't recall much in the way of relic hunting in RiD. Then again, I barely remember the plot of that series anyway.

A quick check on TFwiki shows the first half had them locating things called "O-plates", which were basically map pieces that when assembled revealed the location of Fortress Maximus.

However, once they actually FOUND the guy, the O-plates simply vanished.

RE: The relics and doohickeys of Prime

Can someone name all the doohickeys that Ratchet needed, but are now destroyed or severely damaged?

But the difference is stasis pods and Vok stuff are way more interesting than random garbage that gets thrown in the storage room when the episode is over.

Vok bling was also was not blatant homages to shit from previous generations and were actually useful instead of being junk touted as 'relics' but were only stuff from a raided Decepticons armory locker.
