If I'm completely honest the whole cloning thing seemed like a real cheap way out anyway. It'd cheapen death in the series to no end to just be able to clone anyone who died - and there do seem to be some rules with cloning. Starscream's clones seemed like extensions of himself, so probably somehow drawn from his spark - he felt their pain. It's implied it would only work on a living Cybertronian.

The Predacons were a different thing, but given Predaking's evolution, it's suggested that anything cloned in that respect is a new lifeform and not the original, i.e. it's a fresh spark, and a Cliffjumper clone produced in that process would have the body but not the mind.

I'm actually glad the writers never backpeddled on final deaths, even if they had their share of miraculous "not quite dead and I'm better now" moments.

"The Rock" did a great job yes. He is also One of the most expensive actors there is. One show is all they could afford lol.

No I didn't. After he was sliced in half, that pretty much did it in for him. It would have been cool to see a last appearance of his regenerated terrorcon form. But his story had already for the most part been wrapped up so bringing him up again would have been pointless in the end.

I'm glad Cliffjumper died. For once, the Autobots got taken down a notch in the beginning. In reality, there should have been more Autobot deaths. I got tired of characters coming back. There was no way Cloffjumper was coming back after all that brutality.

I'm glad he didn't return, its war. In war when somebody dies, they stay dead. If they return, better start shooting.

Casting the Rock was a give away that Cliffjumper would not last. I don't think a big name movie star would commit to do voices for a cartoon long term.

Guys don't get me wrong Cliff Was amazing character..... And I wish they didn't kill him off..... But get this Smokescreen was purposed to be the character in season 1 And cliff was the new recruit..... And Smokescreen perish from the hands of Megatron..... At the end of Season 1. instead they went with Unicron..... I really enjoy when Megatron join the bots temporary.... But imagine If Smokescreen was Arcee's original partner. And Cliff was the New Recruit.......

Bringing him back would only make his death at the beginning of the series pointless. His quick death bothered a lot of people as it was. Simply bringing him back later would've made it worse.

I would however would like to see him more somehow being voiced by Billy Brown who did him in Out of the Past. He does an amazing Rock impression.

I for one thought he was a better voice than the Rock. Honestly the whole Cliffjumper dies thing would have been more effective if he was casted from the start.

I liked his death. It showed that the cons are actually a threat. I always hated seeing everyone making it out of every battle. People die for needless, even pointless, reasons.
