Not sure if this will help anyone or not, but I figured it was worth mentioning. If you have your DVR set to record Transformers Prime, make sure you set a new timer if you want it to record Beast Hunters.

I hadn't really thought about it, but I was checking some recordings, and realized my DVR was not going to record it this Friday. I quickly realized that it is being treated as a brand new series by the DVR and thus my old timer would not have recorded this season, because Beast Hunters is effectively a new show starting with an Episode 1.

Not sure if this applies to everyone or not, but I have Dish Network.

 

I have Comcast, and Beast Hunters was set to record without having to do anything...but it's ALWAYS a good idea to check.

My sister noticed that the other day. You have to make sure tbe tirle includes 'Beast Hunters' or it won't record it.

 

Yep I caught this DVR issue as well last week for tommorow to record. I was glad i caught it when I did cause I might have fell asleep and would have missed it tommorow.

I was worried about this happening as well...but I checked mine last week and was happy to see my DVR still had the recording scheduled... thankfully my provider still picked it up, it does have Transformers Prime in the title still..just added the Beast Hunters.

 

Yup. Just noticed that on mt DVR. It was not set for Beast Hunters.

 

This applies to Verizon Fios as well. It considers Beast Hunters a totally different program.

I have FIOS and I verified it was recording a week or 10 days ago, then last night Lumpy said his TiVO didn't have it recorded because it considered Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters as a new show.

Thanks to him, I checked the DVR again, and sure enough, I had to schedule a new recording schedule around Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters.

I suspect that had I been paying closer attention the first time I would have noticed that the program was just called "Transformers Prime" without the Beast Hunters, but I'm not sure.

I really think a mod should front page this. There could be a lot of upset fans this weekend.

 

Wait... we only get one episode? I thought there was a movie premier or 3 part episode premier or something... I'm out the loop...

It's true about the dvr's my direct tv counted as an entirely separate show just a heads up!

 

I did, triple checked b4 I posted the first time... I have it set to series recording (it has the *}}}} in red) and also checked future recordings on my DVR and all is good, I'm recording the encore on Sat. too. Sometimes I get better intro and exit cut offs on the 2nd recording, weird but true.
Guess my system here is smart enough to realize the BH added to the title is still the same series. Yay.
