Wheeljack vs Soundwave

In the Triage episode, Ratchet and Wheeljack teamed up(Good old G1 days) to find the Iacon Relic The Resonance Blaster and had Soundwave as an opponent who go their first and was confronted by Wheeljack to a one-on-one fight, which both took turns in getting the upper hand until Wheeljack cracked Soundwave's visor. Now the question is, you think Wheeljack would of finished Soundwave off if it wasn't for The Resonance Blaster?

Idk, Soundwave was down and at Wheeljack's mercy. It was only because of Soundwave's tentacles that he managed to get out alive.

Soundwave would have won in a fair fight. Laserbeak is his ranged weapon and it seems like the only way Wheeljack was able to get the advantage was by shooting at him while knowing Soungwave couldnt retaliate. Its hard to say who would have won, Soundwave used the resonance blaster because if was there, had it not been he might have still been able to use his tentacle to smack Wheeljack around and regain the upper hand.

The fight wasnt so much Soundwave vs Wheeljack as it was Soundwave vs the Jackhammer + Wheeljack. He took out the Jackhammer but it cost him his primary weapon so when it came to Wheeljack his effectiveness had been seriously deminished. Even then he seemed to be in control in close quarters, only taking one serious hit.

You say that like his tentacles are some outside interference. They're part of his body. That's like saying "Oh, he would have been cut to pieces if it weren't for his arms." Soundwave was never at his mercy. Wheeljack was totally beaten and Soundwave was literally about to kill him before actual outside interference distracted him.

If a tentacle strong enough to fling the guy around like a ragdoll was able to sneak over to the blaster, then behind him, I'm fairly sure it could sneak around him and snag him without the blaster.

if it weren't for laserbeak, soundwave would've slaughtered wheeljack. soundwave got the relic during the battle, and testing it out was just an added bonus. soundwave kicked his aft.
