^ No, watch every episode including grill. it answers a couple small questions and for a recap episode it's probably the best way to do a recap episode

If it's been mentioned before I apologize but the whole first season is on Netflix.

I don't like subscriptions, but thanks. I prefer having it forever until it combusts or I sell it.

Whatever the media, it shouldn't interfere with your judgement of the series. It's a good show, not as good as Beast Wars, way better than Car Robots. Small cast of characters, great to reenact the episodes with the toys (probably what they were aiming for). Humans are fine except for Miko, but even that is up to YMMV and you can enjoy the series even if you hate her. I do, and I like the show.
