Plothole that DRIVES ME INSANE

Okay, in the beginning of the series they all have Earth kibble.
It makes sense because they already have Earth altmodes.

Then Skyquake comes on the scene, and he has NO altmode but has all the kibble of the altmode he assumes.
It makes no sense.
Wheeljack does the same.

In all the animated flashbacks that take place on Cybertron, they have Earth kibble!!

And then... what makes it more insanely confusing...

Remember the Orion Pax flashback?

They had CYBERTRONIAN KIBBLE.

'Nuff said.

Discuss.

"Where is it/you at?" (and similar statements using "at") IS BAD GRAMMAR. Thank you for your time.

The former is perfectly understandable because of budgeting for animation models. Making an entirely new model for cybertron modes wouldn't be cheap.

However, the Cybertronian kibble is perplexing since most of them go "Oh gee I can't transform without scanning an alt mode."

I think it has to do with the CGI models and the cost to make new ones.

It's just annoying.

Don't they use still frames for the majority of the flashbacks? Couldn't they use different designs if they aren't using CGI?

I should clarify, in the Operation Bumblebee flashbacks we see Bumblebee, Megatron and the Vehicons, looking exactly as they do in the present. If they drew new designs for Orion and to a lesser extent Megatron and Soundwave couldn't they have done the same for Bumblebee? Give him a mouth or something or at least get rid of the car kibble.

Since Megatron transforms, I assume there are cybertronian modes out there.
