Episode idea that introduces the Dinobots.

So, if they're stuck in dino mode, why do they just transform to robot form in the end?
And that's a very cliche way to end the episode. "The autobots spontaneously win!!!"

Well first we have to figure out if the dinobots survive FOC. I find the OP's story a good fan fiction piece though.

Myself, I would like for shockwave and the combaticons to of been off on a deep space mission to retrieve a lost relic of Liege Maximo's.. ofcourse in an attempt of revenge the Dinobots pursued. Well in the battle, Bruticus was so badly injured that Blastoff and Vortex died, and all the dinobots but Grimlock are on the brink of death, suddenly their ship crashes to earth... The only way Grimlock can save the dinobots is to put them in stasis and recover a relic from the decepticons... having to align with Optimus to get it done after spending a season thinking Prime is weak.. you know the usually Grimlock. The combaticons are so damaged they are reformatted by Shockwave and knockout... Onslaught becomes motormaster, while breakdown's spark is found, and along with Brawl and Swindle, their sparks are put into modified vehicons bodies to form Breakdown, Dragstrip and Dead end, while the same is done for Makeshift into Wildrider.

Mech manages to gain shockwaves data files on combiner tech so Mech then steals the dinobots and lures Grimlock in... they get halfway done before the autobots save the day... what mech had managed to get done though, is when Grimlock and Prime manage to fix the other dinobots, now they can combine and battle Menasor!

all of that can easily be an entire season worth of episodes I see several 2 and 3 part episodes in there...

If they really going to do Dinobots,think maybe it will be under Season 3

I suppose I'm just partial to the idea that the bots come to Earth and then take on a transformation based on something they've actually seen in person on the planet.
