I don't mean to sound like a twat, but all of this is still your fundamental, glaring problem with the show. These were all obvious in your eyes. A lot of people don't see it as such and love the show.

I don't appreciate the comments you seem to be receiving that make you appear to be pessimistic because we know you're not, but when people perceive your comments as you treating it as fact (when it's still your opinion) than disagreements of different variety are bound to occur.

This is why I wanted to ignore this thread and hoped it would disappear soon because of what was bound to occur. Your opening comment just screamed "hateful negativity" (I put that in quotes since it's not true).

I don't want to change the type of person you are, but maybe if you can change your writing style for critical thinking, it might be appreciated to some.
Furry Pride. Deal with it or GTFO.

That doesn't mean it can't be delved into through flashbacks.

It doesn't mean it can't be told through 3rd person perspective.

However, there may have been something more to him, as Ratchet did say that Optimus was different, more like Jack before he became a Prime—Jack isn’t all that fun…
That doesn't mean that Optimus never had any friends that were fun.

Fighting for a better life and freedom sound like things I would fight for.
Optimus’ crew, as little as it may be, came to know each other before they left Cybertron; they stay together still.

The way I see it, if they can't be happy together then they really don't have a basis for a better life or for freedom.

Those words are empty if they can't even share happy moments together.

Quote:
Their long war bonded them—we see Arcee joking with Tailgate in flashbacks. We’ve also seen in how his absence devastated her, changed her.

Interesting words. But I doubt that's truly accurate.

Friendship is what binds people. And friendshp is what is forged through choosing to share happy moments and humour.

War is just one of the many settings it can take place.

And the way I see it, the few lines she had with Tailgate are not enough.

I don’t see how your standards for Prime’s animation matters here. If the folks say the approached this series like a movie then that was how they approached it.
Youre the one who's saying Prime is unique due to its animation.

I"m the one who stated that it doesn't change the way stories are measured.

Quote:
I don’t know how Prime reminded you of Appleseed, but perhaps it did so because both projects weren’t approached like regular TV programming.
While Japan does have localized television, todays anime (yesterday’s too) are adaptations from popular mangas, and popularity is a nationwide thing.
Nope. That's not the reason. I stated it as an example because Appleseed and its sequel delves into robotics and Mech suits.

Quote:
There’s a huge difference in story and animation between the show mentioned.
I'd say, not enough to give different standards for Prime. It's still just storytelling.

Or when the titular Private Ryan is telling Captain Miller about the time he and two of his brothers busted their oldest brother about to shag some woman in their barn and nearly burnt it down for their efforts.
Better example, Black Lagoon and it's sequel Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage. In almost every episode, people are getting shot, decapitated, exploded and basically die in horrible ways. Despite that, it is one of the most fun shows I have ever seen, and a lot of that comes from the character interactions and all of fun scenarios that happen in the show. Like, in what other cartoons or anime can you see a women wearing a French maid outfit, who has weapons like a shotgun umbrella, that can act as a shield when the umbrella is deployed, and a machine gun, with grenade launcher attachment, briefcase gun, literally throw a car off a roof and at an oncoming car and hit that car, then land in a shop window and the women just breaks out of the car through the boot, smashing her fist through the glass, and continues the pursuit on foot and pull out a knife and jump on the car's rear, T-1000 style.

Another good example, Gurren Lagann. A lot of the humour in that show is generated by the character interactions and the fun plots. The sixth episode of that show is one of the most funniest things I have ever seen in my life.

In S1, Prime HAD those humorous character interactions and those fun plots. Despite it's problems, S1 was great. It leaves you wanting to see more and you expect it to improve. Instead, Prime has gone backwards. The funny character interactions barely exist anymore, only showing up once in a blue moon, and the fun plots, like the plot of Metal Attraction and Stronger, Faster, have been replaced with "serious" and "mature" storytelling, that treat the characters like mere props.

The kicker for me is that Rescue Bots and Prime are run by the same guy, Jeff Kline, and I'm assuming share the same writing staff, so there's almost no excuse for Prime having worse quality, at least in my eyes, then Rescue Bots. Which is really sad, when a show marketed towards preschoolers, is doing a better job of entertaining me; then the supposedly more "mature" show.

What kind of movies does Bulkhead like?

What does Arcee do when she's not patrolling, riding with Jack, or picking him up/dropping him off at school?

What does Bumblebee like about being in Jaspar?

How many people work with Agent Fowler?

Bulkhead likes to see monster trucks shows if that answers your question.

Arcee helped Jack build that motorcycle in Masters and Students.

It seems Bumblebee quite enjoys it otherwise he'd be moping around how boring it is like with his Animated self.

Fowler does know that camera guy in Grill.

Like I said there's not many right now but there's no lack of either that's what I was saying.

Bulkhead watches movies with The Rock.

Arcee is playing on XBow Live.

Bumblebee likes the donut shops.

12 people.
