Why didn't Silas... (Nemesis Prime Spoilers)?

Why didn't he move when his Optimus Knock off was about to crush him ?

The writers needed him 'squished' so they could get him to the next level...and use Breakdown's body...after all it was just lying there and CGI is expensive so they needed to find a way to keep using both 'bodies'.

Seriously, I thought it was completely out of character for Silas to react the way he did...he's well trained, and ice water flows in his veins..so nope, I don't buy that he froze..panicked, etc.

Or time only appeared to move that slow to the viewer. In "real time", he may not have had the opportunity to react quickly enough.

Again, I think there was a mistake in how they depicted Silas in this scene. Silas has always shown himself to be cool headed and in control, especially during the most dire situations; like being captured by Airachnid(and working with her), having Starscream sneak in, avoiding capture by Fowler, first meeting the autobots etc. So I think that scene with Silas just standing there stunned and screaming was very out of character. And kind of takes away from the character as well.

Yeah but he was still really pissed I think from Fowler distracting him and when he realised he was going to lose his new toy. I think that and maybe the shock of it all (Plus did the chair do anything when he was beaten around in it cause of Nemesis Prime getting beat up? I can't remember). But I think overall he wasn't on his best terms of thinking. Hence why he just stood there for those split seconds.
