The kids knowing Cybertronian related information is not a plot hole anymore..
Jack being able to operate the Decepticon drill should not have been some shocking event, Raf of all people knowing how to use the space bridge.. if he didn't by then that would be a plot hole. I know they have not given any actual amount of time, (that I know of off hand,) that has passed in universe. However it would be illogical to assume the kids would not have learned some of the Cybertronian language and small amounts of the workings of the technology by now, even if just through observation and interaction.

Especially since there is human tech mixed in with the Cybertronian on the base it would make the transition all the smoother for them given the chance.

I think people just had a problem with the kids seemingly knowing all this seemingly out of the blue without any prior scenes to establish their knowledge.

Then again, it'd be pretty boring watching Arcee teach Jack how to operate long, hard metallic devices designed to penetra-wait, what was I talking about again?

Since, as of right now no one can go back to Cybertron.

I think the race is on to generate synthetic energon to sustain life.

    or

Collect all the artifacts from past experiments.

I never really saw it as a plot hole. They've been living together for quite some time now and are always near the base, I would be more surprise if they DID NOT know how to turn on a space bridge, specially with the human-sized controls and computers attached to it.

Jack controlling the driller didn't feel weird either, I mean, a BIG RED BUTTON turned the thing on. BIG RED BUTTONS are the kind of thing any sentient being in the galaxy can figure out.

The PCs at the Autobots base are a combination of earthen ware and Cybertronian--did everyone forget about Raf fixing an error on the Autobots' system for Ratchet?

What about the Scraplets episode? While the Autobots were down, the children had to take care of the base and the Autobots, Ratchet had to explain to them how to fix the ground bridge for them to repair it, no?

While folks were complaining about Miko doing this or Miko doing that, I think they forgot to watch the events happening on a weekly basis.

The Autobot’s human allies know how to use the Autobots/Cybertronian wares because they've been working with the Autobots, getting accustomed to their alien wares.
