Since the episode is less than 8 hours away I though what the heck I'll make a topic for this and for the Moderators, I appologize if this is too early to make this kind of topic.

Does Optimus really get captured by the cons?
What does Starscream have in mind for the Harvester and what will happen if someone blocks it from firing?

Will Breakdown last more than one episode?

I think Starscream may use the harvester to take the Energon that flows through the Autobots' veins, perhaps killing them.

And as for Breakdown, I really hope he doesn't get killed. He's voiced by Adam Baldwin for Pete's sake.

 

I just hope Breakdown lives.

 

I second that. A few extra members of the Decepticons that don't get killed after 20 minutes would be nice...

Also, Breakdown seems to need to lay off the steroids  

 

If Breakdown dies I'll be majorly pissed off at the show.

Every show needs a good colorful villain cast, denying us that is pure bad TV.

 

Is this going to be a weekly routine?

1. Preview of episode is revealed
2. We see new character
3. Everyone yells "if they kill off _____" I will be sooo pissed, i'm going to stop watching!"

Repeat for the rest of the 26 episodes of season 1...

 

I certainly hope not. I just posted that question so people won't derail the topic.

I doubt they will kill Breakdown.

I've heard news of him being in the show [and Adam Baldwin in his shoes] since Darkness Rising for God's sake, why would they make such a fuzz over Breakdown if they're going to kill him off on his first episode?

Besides, judging by the preview, he has an arch-enemy-esque relationship with Bulkhead, I say he will be Bulkhead's Nemesis on this show [just like the female con will probably be Arcee's Nemesis].

 

I think the harvester is used to suck Energon out of other bots, this is what is happening to Optimus in the trailer most likely.

I have a feeling somehow this might relate back to reviving Megatron. Take Prime's Energon and infuse Megatron with it. Although why Starscream would want to I have no idea, maybe he's beng forced into it by other circumstances.

 

Agreed. If he lives, he'll be the first new con character in the Prime Universe to live past one episode.

And a boring one.

Don't forget, they promoted the hell out of The Rock playing Cliffjumper, and look what happened.

I expect that we'll have one for the "hero" of Kaon by the end of today.

 

I think Cliffjumper + Skyquake being the fist non main characters introduced and dying int heir intro episodes has just set people a little on edge. Wheeljack survived, but he buggered off too, people are just nervous as to the fate of 'X' character. Give it a few successful introduced characters (wheeljack was a good start) and people will relax, I think. Maybe a bit of a mistep for the show to start the way it did both times, but nothing that isn't being fixed.  

I reckon he'll live, he's been advertised for a while, so unless they pull a Cliff theres a good chance he'll stay around.

 

I think in both cases, the writers just wanted to show that we can't ever be certain about anything. This show is about war, and there will be death. Deal with it. So they killed off Cliffjumper to give us that message, then they killed Skyquake just to say "don't think the miniseries was something special". Now that they've made their point, the weekly death thing isn't going to be a super crazy occurrence. People need to relax.

Though, it would appear that they made the exact point they wanted to make. People are freakin ouuutt.

 

I thought I recognized Brakedown's voice from somewhere. Makes me like the voice even more, lol.

I'm really hoping the paranoia dies down (Brakedown might end up seeming relatively sane in comparison, lol), and that it doesn't turn into TFP's "give me your face" sort of thing...

Considering how long we've known about him, and the history with Bulkhead, I expect Brakedown to survive his first episode. I don't think he'll become one of the "regular"/every episode cast, but he certainly won't die this early into the show.

 

We're expecting two 'Cons tonight, possibly three! I'm hoping the latter, and I hope they all 1) don't die and 2) stick around.

 

I've read somewhere that Breakdown would act more like a Hooligan.

But I don't remember where I read such information.

 

He could, we'll just have to wait and see. Ultimately I was just trying to make a point. That some people have been going a bit overboard with the "new character? oh noes, they's gonna die in their first episode!" type of reactions.

 

Only an hour and a half to go. I wonder how Miko convinces Bulkhead to let her go to Greece with him.
