Is his fate sealed? because i thought he was one of the main cast of autobots.

that really sucks, i kept thinking he was somehow coming back each episode but he didn't..

any thoughts?

well, seeing as how they are not going to off megatron this early and.. and.. you know I am just not darn sure... when CJ was blown up he was already cut to shreds and zombified... I am just kinda at a loss, at first I thought he was totally gone, but /shrug I suppose in this little world with the mcguffiny goodness of dark energon the sky is the limit!!

 

I thought just in case people hadn't seen the series yet?

there is always the chance in the unreality world he could come back or the series could start at a time before the mini-series took place. or flashbacks. But for me personally I consider him dead.

 

timing and amount of character expansion is a fine point I am not sure the makers(s) of a transformers series has gotten right as of yet, beast wars came close, not too cluttered, but not too sparse..

animated seemed to go from a 5 to opening the floodgates in two fell swoops granted I didn't finish it so my feeling there could be incorrect.

G1 had just random totally uncontrolled and unreasoned expansion and contraction of the ranks on an episode to episode basis.. that could have just been it being a time when the writers had no idea on a balance of show vs toy progression, but then again, there were a flaming bundle of characters to run thought from 84-86

 

Cliffjumpers fate.

I don't expect him back and don't want him back because that would cheapen his death. Flashbacks would be awesome but The Rock is likely too expensive to have for an entire episode or two.

 

I wouldn't mind him coming back..... as Unicron's avatar. Unicron possesses Cliff Jumper's body and uses it to wage psychological warfare on the autobots, pitting the autobots against each other. Attacking them in the shadows then unleashing Unicron's power.  

His head does look a bit like Unicron's, with those horns and all. And imagine the shock

Pretty disappointed with Cliffjumper, but having somebody like the Rock as a regular was too good to be true. The guy could have lasted more than 5 minutes, though...

 

This is going to be another Jazz, isn't it?

 

Am I the only person who wasn't a fan of The Rock's voice acting?

 

I liked his characterization. I'm TOed that they killed him so fast but I understand the tone they were going for we see right away we can lose a character. Cliffjumper fell to the same fate as Bayformers Jazz- Awesome character with little screen time gets aced pretty quickly.

 

     

Anyway,

I was holding out to see him again, I really liked him.

 

I just cant believe they would spend the money on creating the cg for the character, and then making promos " Cliffjumper is back", only to kill him 5 min into the series. lol.
