Hasbro has said at BotCon this year and other sources that they would be shedding some light on the first thirteen Transformers in the coming years. What does this mean for Transformers Prime? Should we expect an appearance from them? Will they impact the series in later seasons? What are your opinions on this matter?

At the moment, I'm expecting Hasbro's initiative to expand upon the history of the first thirteen to find a way into TF: Prime mostly because the series focuses on what it means to be a Prime, and the original Primes may factor into that.

I'm betting they'll all be mentioned at some point, based on the folllowing information from Exodus:

*Optimus's mentor is Alpha Trion, who is able to perceive past and future with the Quill and Covenant of Primus, and was last mentioned hiding in the Vector Sigma Chamber. He has the strongest chance of actually appearing.
*Megatron named himself after Megatronus (the Fallen), whom he considered the greatest of the Primes. The BotCon 2010 concept art showed a black-and-red "squat, ornately-carved boxy monstrosity whose whole body vaguely looked like a 'Con symbol, the face much moreso", with a fusion cannon.
*Vector Prime was hinted to be the face of the Autobot symbol, Sentinel Prime wore it on his belt. The BotCon design was gold, held two swords and an hour glass.
*Prima's Star Saber was reconstituted into the Matrix. Nexus Prime was dimension hopping for pieces of the sword. Prima's concept art was a white "warrior of light".
*Liege Maximo and his Hub is namedropped by Megatron.
*Hasbro mentioned a female member, so that's their way of explaining gender (the sensible route that there have always been male and female sounding and looking robots).

Additionally, I recall a comment from someone that Alpha, Prima, Vector, Liege and Megatronus's designs at BotCon this year were very much in the vein of Prime's aesthetic. So I suppose the inevitable toys are based on their show appearances.

But none of that info specifically point to an appearance in TF Prime, and the toys are only inevitable if they do appear in the show and even then, we could end up with an animated Omega situation, where characters that do play a big part in the story still don't get toys.

The one possible hint for an appearance in Prime is their supposedly matching the aesthetic, but there's a high degree of subjectivity to it, especially since said aesthetic had only been freshly revealed.

Liege Maximo will probably show up.

As the mascot of the channel itself!

You know, it would actually be awesome if Hasbro revealed that calling their channel the Hub in the first place was because of Leige Maximo being in Prime.
