Ah, very nice! What I remember of those shows off-hand, the backgrounds were solid. Not too intrusive so as to distract from what is going on, but not so bland that they brought the feel of the series down.

One more bit of all-star talent for the show!

Another Sony vet joins an all-Sony crew?

I'm shocked. Just simply gobsmacked. Who could possibly have seen this coming?

What an absolutely surprising piece of news! I never would have known this if not for this thread!

Will Prime not be a boring cliche-spouting machine with little beyond being 'the biggest and best Autobot ever and there's no-one better than him'? Probably not? Then no, it's not what we've all been wanting.

    At least it'll look servicable.

Atleast we now know who's doing the background, and he's qualified in my books.

I'm surprised, I thought the same people who did Godzilla did Jackie Chan and the MIB cartoon they all looked drastically the same art wise.

But, the Godzilla cartoon was very neat looking monster and background wise.

GTS had great backgrounds, if that's any indicator as to how these will look, then huzzah!

Godzilla the series was pretty damn good.

I mean, considering the source material.

Technically competent, but they lack heart.

He's a far cry from Alex Dilts, but hey, that's just my opinion.

Dude, we get it, you don't care for the show. Please stop spoiling the topic for the rest of us.

Back to topic, I like that Gotham cityscape. Nice sense of scale. I can look at that and it's distinctively Gotham. I'm looking forward to seeing Mr Toyama's design approach for Cybertron and the Autobot / Decepticon headquarters, to see how he handles Cybertronian technology and landscapes. I know he can do an excellent alien looking landscape from Crisis on Two Earths.

I'm not saying this as the Godzilla fan that I am, but Godzilla: the Series was AWESOME. The effort put into it was just amazing, especially in the art department.

We can definitely say that artistic effort is going into this show, so the project is starting to look good (no pun intended :D ).

I didn't realize that was an offense. Sorry, I guess.

Be thankful, though, that Prime doesn't have someone like C16 yet, constantly openly insulting the art because it's not to his liking. By god, if you think I'M a hater (I'm more a 'meh'-er, IMO) some people have baseless spite down to an art.

You're entitled to your opinion Sprocket, it just seems like you're determined to pass judgment on a show that hasn't even aired yet.

Well, you sure are being aggressive in your "meh"-ing. I mean, four posts in 24 hours in a thread you stated in your first didn't need to even exist? I agree with Sol, say your peace and move on.

Back on topic, I've always felt that the Sony shows always had a great art team. And I liked that there was a distinct style for the studios. It's like the Bruce Timm DCU.
