I wonder if Sideswipe (And Strongarm) are post-Prime bots as in their sparks could've been a couple of the many released with Optimus's sacrifice.

 

What if he was originally supposed to be knockout? But hasbro stepped in and made it sideswipe?

 

I hadn't even considered that as a possibility.

I don't think that is the case. So far Sideswipe doesn't appear to be the vain narcissist type.

 

I myself just wish Sunstreaker was paired with Sideswipe in this, I mean where's the love for Sunstreaker?

But he does seem a bit similar to TFA Prowl. But while I found that character okay, a lot of fans loved him. So I think it's fair to say he'll be popular?

Ironically thanks to growing up with DBZ I find the spikes generic but love how limber Sideswipe looks.

 

His 'hair' still bugs me. I think I might like him though.

From the preview, he sounds cheeky.

Hasbro really hates Sunstreaker despite the fact he actually has more character than red guy.

 

I also think having two yellow guys might confuse kids. Gotta sell those bb toys, you know

 

Oh I don't know. I always thought they had equal amounts of individual character.

Sunstreaker- Narcissistic. Loyal to the Autobot Cause. Fierce Warrior. Closest with his Twin Brother. Brooding, yet still has a mischievous streak.

Sideswipe- Snarky. Loyal to the Autobot Cause.Fierce Warrior. Boisterous. Closest with his Twin Brother. Social, with a mischievous streak.

As individuals, they're strong. As a team, they're scary good.

I don't get why Sunny doesn't get as much love from Hasbro and others, as Sides gets. I mean, is it because he's often perceived as being a narcissistic, brooding, deadly warrior? That he's not "friendly" enough. Is it because of that rumor about him a couple years ago? There has to be some reason. Hasbro didn't even blink, when Bay made Mudflap and Skids the resident twins. Skids doesn't have a twin and Mudflap only exists in Bayverse (to my knowledge, anyway). Even if Bay didn't somehow know Sideswipe has a twin, Hasbro knows. A missed golden opportunity for one hell of a team up with Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. I do hope Sunny shows up in the new cartoon, but I'm not holding my breath.  

 

The first mudflap was an autobot/ decepticon from cybertron, blue dude with a bad french accent
