My son is really into the Prime show Netflix) and is getting most of the toys from his birthday this weekend...I've been ebay hunting for the last couple of months.

He wanted something to play with them on... so I built this base out of some wood, and other materials, Then I printed out some images and applied them to the wood.

    What do you guys think?
I hope he will like it.

Think this is in the wrong forum?

But that is fantastic! I'm sure your son will love it!

You should make a Nemesis ship command bridge next!

It's pretty freaking awesome, man. Really well-made, especially the Ground bridge.

Much more useful than Optimus Maximus and the Bumblebee battle suit.

Fantastic job! I can already picture Autobot toys meandering in there, working on the computer or driving through the ground-bridge. Excellent stuff! :D

Fantastic. Confirmed for best parent! :thumb
It's also pretty accurate to the show's base, on a rudimentary level, so I'm sure that will help make it even more awesome for your son!

Be sure to let us know what he thinks of it!

I used to love bases to play with as a kid. Used to turn old shoeboxes into Turtles lairs all the time - so I've been really annoyed with the abysmal 'bases' Hasbro has been putting out, like the Optimus Maximus. I think the DOTM Ark was actually really cool, so sad to see that one not selling at all.

What makes this go above and beyond for me is the sheer fact you also did the ground bridge.

I wished Hasbro would actually make these playsets for real.

Those weren't even bases, they were just mech suits that had "vehicle" modes. Yeah, I loved the Ark, and I can't imagine why playsets like that don't sell.

    Parent of the year 2014.
probably also "of the century" if you make the nemesis command bridge.
    seriously though, that's awesome

Now that is cool. I'd buy that base in a heartbeat.

Come on Hasbro, why can't you do something this simple? Just have each of the Autobots released with a piece of a base, and when you have them all, you have a base!

That is awesome! I know my kids would love it.
Imagine the action sequences that are going to happen with it.

It is a shame Hasbro doesn't make stuff like this.

The great thing is if this base is looked after it will be fabulous to use for displaying the bots later on so it is more than just a toy.

How big is the work compared to the toys? I am not sure that all the team can fit there for the play. It might depend on the line of the toys...

But the model is wonderful, in any case.

Great job. I was hoping that this was somehow a Hasbro setup.

Awesome. Any sensible kid will love that and appreciate your efforts. I like how on the back you've got the outside background so they can do missions out in the wilds as well.

I think the only thing I might've not done was add the character artwork on that one wall.

As a kid I'd use all kinds of things for playsets. Weirdly-shaped packing materials were always cool. I'd hold onto them and then assemble interesting bases to play on.
