It looks like a good enough time waster and the Q-Robos are really cute. Too bad about the timed lives without having to pay for more, especially for a game so notoriously hard, but I guess that's just how App Games work.

Oh my, they made a faithful remake of one of the worst games ever... This is not nostalgia, this is plain craziness  

 

Just an update information wise

When you get to a boss, you can now "Jump" or "Shoot" so you can control shooting instead of having a "Transform" button.

Also the boss of World 1 is "Moon Base" like the original first boss from the Famicom game, the Boss of World 2 is the "Destron/Decepticon Logo". I will post more as I get better at this

 

Well from what i saw from Protoman's video, it's actually not only a good remake but it's better than the original in every way.

You can't control your running, you can't control your shooting for the non boss parts.

I played Mystery of Convoy from start to finish online and they are different experiences

I wish there was an option to "buy the game" and not have your lives tied up in a timer/microtransactions.

Otherwise, it's pretty cool. I would hope they would add Ultra Magnus and Rodimus Prime to the playable characters list eventually, to emulate the original.

EDIT: Apple added security from allowing you to change your region to download apps. They verify your credit card address now before letting you change. Maybe there is another way around it.
