Seriously, these looked good on the other photo, but looking at these they have way too much chrome and the colors are just wrong in general.

 

Man, Slog looks REALLY good!

 

So first we have takaras g1 redecos, then sdcc exclusive, now this? I love the dinobots but i also liked the movie standard figures, how many more of these before peoples geewun boner subsides?

 

I'm still gonna try to get this set. I prefer more chrome to the neon skittles colors.
While we're getting poor Scorn a chiropractor, we should also probably get him some giant aspirin.

I agree though. I'd like to see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, when it comes to the AOE related releases. I want to get back to collecting non-AOE pieces.

 

People who bought the SDCC G1 set are contemplating their wallet size.

 

This has to be a pass for me, now looking at them closely... they seem to be made of translucent black plastic with non-translucent grey and white plastic.

I rather pay an extra 20$ for the Black Knight Dinos.

 

why? .. this set is absolutely awful looking.

the color scheme is nice, i like that they all of their own unique splash of color, but the rest of it just isn't cohesive. it's a shame.. this set could've been perfect.

 

Guys check out Strafe's wings in Dino mode; only one of them is painted with stripes.

Except I don't customize toys, I like supporting Hasbro, and often official decos have details I won't notice unless I'm rigorously poring over stuff. I'm not a customizer for several reasons. Besides, I would rather pay to have, you know, an actual movie accurate deco, as opposed to something random, or as opposed to buying toys and then completely painting them over. Thanks for the condescension, though.

I keep hoping for a garishly colored Slog to go with the other skittlesaurs... It's strangely disappointing that he's only coming out in various flavors of grey/gunmetal. Need him in yellow to fully taste the rainbow, or a nice forest green to offset Snarl's neon.

 

I like the name... Kind of reminds me of Girls Gone Wild TF style.

 

They wrote "Apotosaurus" AGAIN? Yeesh, that's wrong in so many ways. Like saying "Kintrasaurus" for Snarl... (Wrong dino, AND misspelled)

 

I guess you missed that Strafe doesn't actually have paint on his wings at all. That's just the effect of the light as it hits the chrome on the different parts of the wings at different angles. The wings are all chrome, no paint.

For the other people who have complained in this thread about excessive chrome on these figures: Why didn't you complain when BBTS put their preview image up? It's the exact same amount of chrome in the same places.

The only change for all the Dinobots between that photo and these new ones is the clear plastic (people complaining about that now have a perfectly valid complaint).

Slog has a couple of other color changes, but nobody has complained about that yet.

I can't take that picture seriously with derpmaster Scorn in the corner. Doesn't Hasbro ever check their photos before the release? I still don't understand how a significant error like that is possible.
