I take it is still hasn't been released in Japan. Any prediction on how much it will make in Japan? EDIT: Just checked how much the previous movies made in Japan, roughly 30-50 million. I suspect it will at least make 1.3 billion at the end of its run.
I hope it's the only film the make a billion this year or at least I hope it stays the highest grossing film of the year. The only film with a shot of beating it is The Hobbit and maybe Mocking Jay.
I think I'm hearing the AMBK (Anti-Michael Bay-Klan) crying over this news. You know what are they thinking? What else? We gave Michael Bay our money, made his "trash" movie a box office success = cinema is ruined forever, and we are the lowest scum of the universe for doing so.
Optimus Prime & Bumblebee will be in it along with a bunch of random cars with G1 names attached to them that nobody cares about that get killed in 2 seconds flat.
Yeahhhhhh! Let's flip the bird to anyone who doesn't like this timeless masterpiece! Because it made a shit ton of money I have absolutely no share in! Errr, ok. So not only are you grouping a wide variety of people (with wholly varying criticism) together into a single group with a cute name, you go one step ahead and start thinking for them. That's nice, I guess. I enjoyed Age of Extinction, but -IN MY OPINION- for all the bits it improved upon compared to the previous movies, it completely dropped the ball on all the others. Quite amazing for your fourth try. The fact that these movies keep making so much money means that people WANT Transformers movies, but I bet you they'll still love them if they were of better quality - and I'm a pretty big fan of the first one and used to stalk the Movie forum ready to defend TF 2007.
"Will it surpass Dark of the Moon?" Sheesh, I hope so. I haven't seen it but I'm told that it's leaps and bounds better than Bark at the Moon. Anyways, congrats to everyone involved to your success.
