Colour me susprised two weeks ago. Masterforce.co.uk said that they'd be getting Cliffjumper and Nemesis Prime in the next week, and Kapow Toys UK's preorders for Gears and Acid Storm were taken offline last month.

Cool figures! But I only want Cliffjumper and Spinister. Damn you, efficient figure splitting such that I must purchase them both!!

 

Cliffjumper? All I see is Red Bumblebee. If they'd at least remolded the head I would have considered it.

 

Rediculous about this red Bumblebee complaining, if they didn't do one at all then people would still complain.

Love these but took them off pre-order off after seeing the new Legends that aren't repaints coming out.

I can wait and see if I find these at retail.

 

I wouldn't complain. I'd rather have no Cliffjumper than this, and my non-purchasing will show that.

Red Bumblebee is Red Bumblebee. Cliffjumper was his own mold back in the day, completely different from Bee apart from transformation scheme.

The only Cliffjumpers I've bought in recent memory are the Prime ones and GDO, specifically because they weren't Redbees.

If Hasbro can't even bother to remold the head, I'm not going to bother buying it.

As a cliffjumper fan, the head doesn't bother me in the least. The silver horns work enough for me to make it look like Cliff.
I also never got around to picking up that mold as Bee, so I'll get this one instead.

It never ceases to amaze me how bitchy some fans will get over the littlest of things. Literally, in this case. If this was a deluxe, then sure, should have gotten a new head. At this scale? I wouldn't really expect it.

 

The purple bothers me more than the lack of a new head sculpt.

 

The purple does look out of place. I might try and remove that myself depending on how it looks to me in person, I donno.

Nemesis is a borderline maybe but Cliffjumper is a straight up pass.

I feel like I'm one of the few people who always loves seeing Cliffjumper in some shape or form.

 

Cliffjumper is a definite buy...I'll pass on mini-Nemi...

 

Still can't get over how the Bee mold has the FoC/WfC robot mode design that has nothing to do with the alt mode. The lack of a new head still kills me too.

I might have to pick up Nemesis Prime though.

I actually like Cliffjumper, but that purple on the alt mode kills it for me. Just looks weird.

Yeah I remember that G1 Cliffjumper didn't share a mold with anyone in the original assortment. It's not news.

Doesn't mean I have to care.

 

My dislike also stems from the fact that back in the day, my Bumblebee was the red variant. I didn't have a yellow one until the mid 90s (apart from the G2 gold Bumblebee).

Not to mention Cliffjumper is one of my favorite characters. IMO Bumblebee's body just doesn't suit him, and Bee's head most definitely doesn't work.

So I just can't see a red Bumblebee as anything but just that - a red Bumblebee. I don't like Bee & Cliff sharing a mold at all, but it's tolerable if Cliffjumper at least has his own head. Otherwise it's just a red Bumblebee - an interesting homage to a little trick Hasbro did to make the original assortment look larger, but not Cliffjumper.

Hasbro stopped passing off Megatron repaints as Galvatrons (this was another pet peeve of mine in the UT days). If we complain enough, maybe they'll stop this too. And yes, if that means no Cliffjumpers instead of Redbees passed off as him, I'm willing to accept that.

Cliffjumper deserves his own mold. Meanwhile, there's a perfectly good, canon repaint option for Bumblebee that has never been used - Glyph! And now, Stinger as well. Plenty of other options for recycling Bumblebees without slapping a name on the toy that doesn't belong . . .

 

These guys look awesome.  

 

Gears needed a new head more so than Cliffjumper.
