I'm a little surprised no one has noticed, or at least commented on the fact that Silverbolt does a hand stand to form Superion. His legs form the chest.

Yup. Menasor's the same way. They also likely become guns.

 

I thought it was painfully obvious going by the display stand mistransformation.

 

They got so many things right. Why the ever-loving fuck would they go off and make Slingshot a damn helicopter. Yes I mad.

Superion as a whole still looks amazing, mind you. And I'm pleasantly surprised that they kept the other jets as close to the originals as they are.

 

I know this much. all these guys and the stunticons will never be seen on shelves.

I'm going the online route from here on out for all my generations stuff.

most big stores won't give a rat's ass if these are combiners these guys will all be super hard to find.

 

Also i have zero complaints about the Aerialbots. They all look great.

Superion looks fantastic. he's even got his cartoon accurate face.

I bet you can mount his bfg on his arm too just like in the cartoon.

 

My wallet will take some nasty bumps next year, but both combiners are worth it after seeing the pictures. Now lets hope against hope that they actually appear on the shelf.

 

Helicopter guy = no.

 

I'm so glad I'll have to order at least two voyagers, eight deluxes and a legend online. Seriously, why the fuck would they cancel Generations? Ugh.

But these look perfect, oh my god.

Second off... I hope either Hasbro or a 3rd party makes Barrel Roll, the departed 7th member of the Aerialbots


EDIT: Mark my words... we will see repaints/retools of these figures to create a Bruticus set.

Silverbolt never looks good in jet mode. Always has the entire robot hanging off the bottom. I can't stand that!

 

Again, Hasbro answers the third parties.

 

I have this feeling that both of these sets will end up becoming Exclusive Gift Sets that will be alot more cartoon accurate in terms of paint deco.

 

between the newsilverbolt and the new jetfire i have no problem with darkwind and dreadwing using the classics silverbolt and jetfire molds, size and rarity aside lol

 

Superion looks great, but his parts a kinda hit and miss. (Silverbolt looks good in Robot mode but his alt-mode has the same old problem, hanging underneath. AirRaid looks good, Fireflight and Skydive not so much.)

I'm amazed at some of the tricks they pulled off with MotorMaster though. Finally got him to the same scale as Optimus.

 

Smaller, 2 years late, and screwed up one member... so Hasbro of them.

This Silverbolt here absolutely blows the original Voyager away in spades.

He just looks fantastic.

I'm thinking the Helicopter dude is more of a nod to the Micromaster Aerialbot Helicopter

Now we need a full on original Helicopter Combiner.  

 

makes me regret buying Uranos for 550. At least I can get these guys for bot mode
