Hot Toys - THE TRANSFORMERS G1: Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) Revealed

Looks like Hot Toys is doing TRANSFORMERS. For those of you unaware of the company, they produce high quality 1/6 figures from various movie license including games. This is the first time Hot Toys is doing anything Transformers related.

    --------------

“One shall stand, one shall fall”

Under license from Hasbro, Inc., Hot Toys is proud to present the Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) Collectible Figure from the classic and highly popular THE TRANSFORMERS GENERATION 1.

The Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) Collectible Figure stands approximately 30cm tall, featuring a highly detailed mechanical structure and remarkable painting applications with distress effect, a pair of Starscream’s wings, weapons, and a rocky ground diorama base with Autobots’ logo.

THE TRANSFORMERS GENERATION 1 fans shouldn’t miss the chance to pre-order this cool collectible figure!

It doesn't. It's just a fully poseable action figure.

It's sad how all these statue type figures base them selves off the MP figure, but fail to look as good + not be able to transform.

So Prime killed Starscream and is wearing his corpse?

Hot Toys tend to be very expensive so I'd expect this to be over$300

Oh look, the typical 'every single TF product MUST transform' comment.

The Starscream parts don't make sense. Did he start taking notes from Movie OP?

Well, that's just bizarre and very disappointing, really. I came in expecting an awesome screen-accurate AOE Optimus and instead got a G1 Prime that looks nowhere near as good as either Mastepiece nor anywhere near as accurate, along with the strangest accessories ever.

Yikes... wtf? Are sales on Starscream so bad they have to recycle his parts on Optimus?

Looks like it will be worth visiting Ani-com just to see if they have this abomination on display!
