Oh yeah XD assuming Prime was around 35 feet tall or so, this toy would be about 6 feet. Lol

I could actually see Sideshow doing that... They've done SW, Predators, Aliens and Terminators that size...

I'm not digging this. Everything about this figure feels off.
Prime is wearing starscream kibble, which is bizarre. Prime doesn't even have wheels on his thighs.

As large as this figure is, it could use some more details. The great thing about the Masterpiece line is the designers ability to pick out what worked best with the old toys as well as including cartoon accuracy mixed with a bit of realism and also, considering the advances the improved articulation will have on overall design.

This seems pretty faithful to the cartoon representation, but the "belt" is off. I like the weathered effect, but I just feel like the entire figure could have some added details to reflect an updated G1 Prime. They should have taken a look at how IDW is drawing modern Transformers because it would also help. And let's face it, Optimus was not always drawn well in the original series.

The more I look at this, though, it's actually not bad. Both MP Prime's are still better IMO.

Now it seems there's an Optimus with Megatron parts! Let the milking commerce!

My opinion again - don't rush into buying the figure. I'm confident HT will milk this mould to death.

Yeah, anyway the news of Prime with Megatron parts appeared at a toy convention in HK. Not sure if it appeared at SDCC.

I'd get one of these, but not multiples of the same character. I actually really like the odd Prime/Starscream one a lot.

Instead of starscream, this should'a been the truck. Maybe fewture will do it.
    Better yet Hotwheels!

I was thinking a 3rd Party company could just make the Starscream part for MP-01 or MP-04 as an add on. I don't really like buying Transformers that don't transform, but thats just me.

    What a joke.

I like Hot Toys but to pay so much money for a doll that doesn't transform and looks worse than MP-10 is flipping hilarious.

Oh well. Guess the joke is on the people who actually have this thing pre-ordered.

While it does suck he doesn't transform, I'm glad HT finally decided to tackle Transformers

I know a lot of people don't like this figure but he looks great on the shelf.

That it does! Not exactly looking for statue pieces, but I cant deny they look great and i'll be looking forward to possible gestalts in the future. I think a statue would be the best way to nail those designs for display.

This was the biggest disappointment in my TF collecting history.

IMG_1577.JPG IMG_1582.JPG I find that I rarely transform my larger figures so this not transforming doesn't bother me. I didn't pay the MSRP of $350 for it though. He displays great.
