    Release date will probably be september 30th. Same day as the DOTM bluray, all though i hope its earlier for AOE.

    Its weird that they skipped DOTM with the transforming cases. Or did I miss it? I remember an Optimus one of the first movie and a Bumblebee one for the second but no DOTM one.

    I don't mind the Blu Ray cases so I'll most likely wait for the next movie, buy the Blu Ray for AOE for what will eventually be $10 and get a free ticket.

    This is ridiculous. I have never understood the need to preorder a copy of a movie. Has Best Buy, or any giant retailer, ever run out of copies of a movie during its initial release to home video?

    The Thor: Dark World Blu-ray Exclusive Steelbook sold out the first day pretty much nationwide; many locations didn't even have any for walk in purchases on release day because they were all reserved by pre-orders for in-store pickup. I completely missed out on that release because I didn't preorder.

    There are lots of Steelbook collectors out there, and limited release exclusives tend to go quickly.

    Future shop here (canadian equivalent to best buy) ran out of hunger games catching fire blu rays on its first day of release.

    For fellow Canadians...

    This will also be a Future Shop exclusive. Same cover. It hasn't been officially announced yet, but Best Buy (who owns Future Shop) always do a simultaneous release of their Steels and they'll be announcing pre-orders soon. I did marketing work for BB/FS in Vancouver and two of my sources there have confirmed 100% that this Steel is happening.

    Also of possible note, Paramount are releasing a new wave of Steels in Sep (called Action Wave), and three of the titles include the original TF trilogy, supposedly all with new covers. Keep an eye for the announcement in July once the news becomes official.
