I stopped at one of the Targets in Madison, WI during my lunch hour. They seemed to be done resetting the action figure aisle and noticed that they had all of their exclusives (Universe Ultras, Voyager Bonus Packs, Deluxe Vs. Sets) on clearance for $11.88.

Keep in mind that your mileage may vary. They might not be on clearance at your local store (yet).

Oddly enough, the other Target in town pulled all of their exclusives and put them in back. Why? Who knows...

Crap, and I still have no money to buy them. Sad part is that I purchased them once before, but had to take them back. Had other higher priorities to take care of.

I've been waiting for them to lower the price. $17 is too much for toys I've bought before.

I don't think they sold very well, at least not around here that is. I picked up all three Universe sets the day they came out, but there are still plenty left, and the twin packs and the Voyagers with Minicons don't look like they've sold any at all.

Personally I think they came out at the wrong time. This Transformers section is full, but the rest are all empty sans a bunch of CD Red Alerts cause right now everyone is looking for Soundwave, Wingsaber, 10th Ann. Beast Wars Wave 2, etc. I think if these had come out last November or December so they would have been ready for the holidays, they would have sold way better.

Keep in mind that salesplanners are only around for a month or two. The time for these salesplanners may be up regardless of how well they sold or not. I know the store I work at sold out of them twice and restocked them both times. After they were restocked the second time though... sales died down on them. I figure that's probably because the people whom wanted them got them.

I'm not surprised. These endcaps were set up in anticipation of Easter toy sales, and Easter's past. The endcap was gone from the Target I was at on lunch break today. I'll check another two or three Targets on the way home tonight.

If this happens @ my Target, maybe I'll get another Universe Devastator set to mess around with. :D

I was at Target here yesterday and noticed that the price was down to $16.99 here, too. Also, they moved the endcap from the front of the aisle (facing the rest of the store) to the back (facing the stockroom).

Were they? I never really looked at the price. I just glanced at the shelf, thought "oh, that's nice," and went into the main aisle to be disappointed by the continuing lack of CD Scattershot.

They had all the exclusives marked down at my store too. The only one not present was the Bonecrusher/Scavenger set. This was in Millbury Massachusetts.

They were intended for the mass release Universe Ultra assortment, which was retailing at $19.99.

But since Hasbro pulled the plug from the Universe mass retail line, they ended up as Target exclusives and instantly sold for $16.99.

I never heard of any regional variance in the pricing of these. Not impossible, but I never heard that any were $19.99. I saw $16.99 at over a dozen Targets here in Minneapolis.

Around here at least these things have been practically dead in the water. I swear at the Target I go to the most, they haven't sold one...aside from the Constructicon set I bought out of the case before the endcap was set up. There's 3 cases/9 total on the top shelf and they've been arranged in, near as I can tell, exactly the same order for two weeks. Another, I haven't been back to in a while, but they had a full rear endcap several days after they were put out, and another already cleared off the endcap and stuffed them all, minus maybe 2-3, in the regular aisle shelves.

I might pick up another Constructicon set if they make it to the clearance price below 11.88. At that point, they'd be under $20 a set.
