So that's how you can sell G1 KreO Transformers...

Makes me wonder if the marketers Hasbro hired even have Marketing degrees...

Those are beyond amazing! They transform and everything.
*looks at the rest of his site*
How does he even do that?!

I like how he gave the Shockwave Kreon a translucent cannon and little wings.

Most of these are really, really good.

There are a couple that are only moderately awesome.

    ;)

Seriously. This guy needs to be in charge of Kreo operations. He puts Kreo and lego to shame!

What do marketing degrees have to do with product design? If the Hasbro Kreo sets were designed by this guy, they would sell themselves.

Those are absolutely awesome. I've been playing with Legos a lot more lately - as my daughters need help with their sets. These are impressive as hell and definitely more interesting than a princess castle!.

Just keep in mind that lego-type sets are priced based on the part count and the complexity of the parts included. I'm guessing these things have a huge part count and lots of movement parts. I doubt Hasbro wants to release an entire line of $50+ Lego-ish sets.

That's the problem. I bet the current design team could whip up things like this. It just doesn't make business sense. Same thing about when people go on-and-on daydreaming about how third party companies should run the TF line. Hasbro/Takara's designers could make the same toys (possibly better), but it would be too expensive for the market Hasbro targets. Look at how great the MPs have been. Hasbro/Takara can do damn near anything if they know there's a market for it.

But that's the key - a market for it. A sizable one.

The part of marketing where people who study what the public wants.

Shouldn't be that hard considering all the message boards where opinions are everywhere....customs and repaints from every message board...all the conventions Hasbro has sent reps to talk with fans.

I was not referring to the advertising part of Marketing.

Unless I'm old-school in thinking that the info gatherers are supposed to submit their findings to the designers?

After Built to Rule...some customizers made some of them half decent...that should have been a starting point for KreO.

Pretty nice creations, considering the limitations of Kre-O. Would be about 10x more impressive if he used Lego parts.

And just like official TFs can't look like customs, official Kre-O sets can't look like MOCs.

Sold off all my Kreo but those Insecticons plans would be fantastic.

How would Lego make this "better" man you Lego people.

There really nice but some of the robot modes seem to struggle a little from the transformation gimmick but not by much.

If he ever decides to sell instructions or sets, I will be first in line with cash in hand. Those must be mine, no matter the cost. ;)

    Those are all freaking phenomenal.

Lego has way more parts one could use for a set maybe? I don't know, but that seems like the most logical answer.

That's what I would say. I'm a big Lego fan, but I still enjoy Kre-o. Lego just has a lot more options for joints then Kre-o at this point.
