The front of his legs are so plain--true, animation-accurate, but really, NO tail-lights whatsoever for the trailer? MP OP's get tail-lights, and that's more a toy-accurate feature.

The back of the trailer/front-of-legs are much more interesting if you go toy-style-deco. No MP is 100% animation, all incorporate some toy aspects---and a bit of color/details from the back of the toy's trailer would have looked good here.

PS---I was really hoping for an insignia on BOTH sides of the cab. Sure, it's expected/acceptable for Prime, with his iconic "one-shoulder-only" bot-mode look. But for Magnus, that is purely for vehicle mode---and how often does a TF with a vehicle mode have the logo on one side but not the other? Especially when it's something like a door or side of the cab.

 

Good Lord, he's gigantic. I no longer worry about how he'll scale with my FT dinobots, even though, they're a tad bit on the small side, this guy is the one who's really out of scale. Damn he's huge, but in a good way, I'm more into the gigantic MP-01 style robots, left to my own device I'd have all my masterpieces this size.

Damn, just look at all that masterpiece, damn! Takara proving to be the biggest cockteasers again. Look at all that masterpice, I want it now, stupid butt-flap and all! Just release him already!

He looks great! I'm not sure about the silver stripe along the cab though, think it might look better without. And I think I'd happily sacrifice the red on the trailer to give him all-blue lower legs, but apart from that, I'm looking forward to this guy a lot

I agree about the trailer tail lights: that round detail is obviously supposed to be a rear light, it's a shame it wasn't a separate translucent red/orange or something. Heck, even just painted would have done.

As for the cab insignia, personally I wish they'd left it off the cab altogether. He's already got the logos only an inch or two away on the front supports of the trailer, and with that extra single one on the top it means you're seeing three Autobot sigils in some of those alt mode shots... that's way too many IMO.

Any worries about the red bumper are gone, that is just what I wanted to see, it looks no where near as jarring as it did on ehobbys mock up picture.

 

he's huge! i like it. kinda light on the paint apps though. couldn't they had added any paint!?! i guess its accurate, huh?

 

It's huge - much bigger and chunkier than I expected to be honest. The legs feel a little too plain to my eyes but i'm getting it regardless.

 

I'm hoping this figure gets a Hasbro release soon.  

 

not impressed. Hate to say it but KFC looks better. I don't see that front bumper showing anywhere in bot mode so why the hell is it red? Add in the stumpiness, stupid looking buttflap, and red legs and this is the most disappointing masterpiece to date for me. Is this from a new designer?
