Wow, it isn't just a repainted mp10. Looks like a fair bit of retooling and the truck mode can carry a full complement of four cars.

* There is no white mp10 or substitute bot mode here, just car carrier to Ultra Magnus and back again.

Other stuff, Missiles can be moved from the sides to the front of the truck mode and to the shoulders of the robot mode without being removed.
Face Plate comes off to show a facsimile of the old prime head underneath as a nod to the original toy but this is a purely optional feature.

It looks like there's some sort of removable battle mask, and this is what the face looks like without it attached. Or, it's the inner face under the outer face.

 

Initial thoughts? Stack looks better.

Still open mind till clearer pics and in colour.

 

Head does look rather odd, can't imagine why they'd screw that up though, there must be something going on that the picture alone isn't getting across.

They could have snapped all of the pics, there are some off to the side cut off. I can see he has an opening Matrix chamber too.

 

Yeah, I'm guessing no included matrix since the one shown is an mo10 one.

 

I'm guessing he has a face swap gimmick like Bumblebee...albeit only the lower part. The lower part of the face looks like MP10's neck joint to me.

 

Was the guy who took these photos having a wank at the same time? And was he a time traveler from 1999 using a cellphone from that time to take the photos?

Why is it the "first pics" are always this crappy?

On topic though, as a Magnus fan, I'll buy this regardless. The pics don't inspire much confidence though I know the final toy will be great and hey, these are terrible pics. That weird face is obviously NOT gonna be the actual Magnus face but still... weird. It actually looks like the back of the head since it has clearance by the neck joint to tilt backwards.

His vertical crest is on the other side of the head too.

 

The opening Matrix chamber is awesome.

Yeah, I believe its a swapping face. I think the text next to it says that he has a toy and cartoon face. Or its explaining how the UM head goes over the Convoy head... Looks awesome either way and the full body picture clearly doesn't have the weird face.

 

With what looks to me like a small port in the back half of the Magnus crest and a big one in the Prime-style head crest, my guess would be a removable faceplate, front crest & antennae to stop Magnus having a derpily large head when armoured up.

 

Finally pictures... although blurry. Still exciting to see it's all new and not another repaint.

I'm almost more excited about the FigureArts Kikaider on that page, though...

Why do ppl not think it's a(n) MP10 repaint? Looks like MP10s thighs and inner lower legs to me. Plus that cab couldn't look more like MP10 if it tried.
