You don't want to directly link a rival site's news story, the mods are likely going to remove it.

*Nevermind, turns out it's all good.*

Lol, really? Everyone links everyone's stuff. They had most of the tweets gathered in a nice spot. Mods can do as they wish though, /shrug

If this is true, color me SUPER excited! Especially if the head manages to look like his US comic book appearances.

Well, given that the Allspark has been talking about this for at least an hour or more already, and there's no word about it at ALL here (despite the Twitter posts being available to all)... well, I think the Allspark link should be fair game. Is there an actual policy about this?

That has never been our policy here, we'd rather people link to where they find news.

For the front page we'd go for the main source but that's our worry, not yours.

Of course, outright shilling another site is a different thing entirely but that would apply to any site.

On topic, this sounds encouraging. A bit far-fetched but encouraging.

Sounds like it'll be a made up fan character
Horrible idea to use this mold a second time

I haven't checked the policy to be sure, just that I've seen an instance in the past where something linked from Seibertron was pulled. *Edit, looks like Sol gave me a policy answer. Guess I was wrong.*

Here's the text from their tweets:

"We should have been more clear about the third flesh creature..."

"We will be revealing our 4th figure from the Box set soon. But for now, we really did not give you enough info about... The Nebulan

For his name is Olin, son of Zarak, and rightful heir to the Hive creation known as… Scorponok!

For anyone who was wondering if the 2014 BotCon Box set would be celebrating the 30th anniversary, rest assured, it will... in a BIG way.

In a Big-ger than usual way... That work for you? ;)

All 5 figures from this year will fit in a standard BotCon Convention style box... Barely."

Also, here's a color image of Olin Zarak from Tornado's Facebook page for those who haven't seen it.

"'ll have some more dirt....err...I mean, intel...on him later, but for now, here's what I can provide on Olin Zarak. I'll try to clean up this broken transmission link too...." —Tornado

I really hope it's Energon Skoponok done in G1. Though the problem with all these teases, is some people may get excited for something that isn't happening. Though speculation is fun. I guess all the people who were worried Botcon wouldn't celebrate the 30th may not have much to worry about.

Sounds cool. But too little too late for me. I would've been all over this 2010 instead of Double Punch.

The headmaster is interesting. I agree with Sol though. Seems far fetched.

Oh God. If we get Energon Scorponok in G1 colors, and the other figure is big as well, maybe Fort Max from Cybertron Metroplex?? That would be the most awesome Botcon surprise ever!

Well, I'd still rather they didn't use a mold they've used before, especially one of that size and expense, but no G1-colored Energon Scorponok is a pretty old oversight that people have wanted corrected for a long time... I think I could get behind it.

Particularly if they used the Cybertron remold.

Not sure how far fetched it is, given their talk about how the Botcon toys BARELY fit into the physical box.

Not sure how to feel about this, if it is in fact Energon Scorponok in G1 colors. I'm not against it, and it's something I probably would've bought if it'd been made previously....but hearing it as a possibility doesn't get me as jazzed as the other three figures announced. If it happens, cool; definitely a good thing for those that have been calling for something like this for some time.

Why would the Cybertron remold be better to use? I'd rather they stick with the original Energon mold - there's no key gimmick involved then.

^I hate the silly key gimmick as well, but the Cybertron tooling would help differentiate it a bit from Double Punch. Actually, Double Punch is kind of the reason I'm not super excited about this, I already have that mold in my classics collection and a new-mold Scorponok seems like something we're quite likely to get at some point in the future. Sure, It'll be nice to have now, I just don't see it being the definitive Scorponok for years to come.

I have no problem with them using the mold a second time because these are the color we should have gotten for this mold a LONG TIME AGO. It's particularly interesting if they remold it into a Headmaster, and call the partner the son of Zarak.

I bought the Double Punch on ebay for like $40, and think it's a fine toy. It's a completely different character from Scorponok.
