I do agree that gap really could've used a cover of some kind. I'd rather Bumblebee was perfect and skip the exo suit Spike (though he is well done) and maybe have a new pricepoint instead of keeping him at the same as the other cars.

I haven't been keeping up on the news for this guy, but is the cab the same mold as mp prime, and can it transform into basically a white prime?

The Cab is the same Size as MP-10. It does not turn into/ have a white prime in armor. Its an all in one piece

Carmode looks like a very inaccurate VW Beetle. Hood waaaay to long, cabin not rounded enough. Of course I do understand.....there might have been some legal issues if it would have been accurate......

Yuck, not liking this one at all. Oh well, I hated the Mp Seekers as well so I guess they can't all be perfect. Toyworld did a better job, animated vehicle mode be damned.

ehm... windshield on the toy seems to be further back than the real thing. I guess in real world that would be about 8 inch further back....

 

It's a licensed Beetle and looks accurate to me. 71-72 1302 'super' to be specific, I think.

 

Looks to be because of the angle of the photo. Notice how the back of the car looks shorter too because of the angle of the photo. You can't really compare a photograph with a drawing because you have to compensate for the distance and angle of the camera from the object.

 

They're at different angles, though - the picture of MP-21 there is taken slightly from the front, which will make the bonnet look a little longer. If the shot were taken from directly above, they should look pretty much the same.

  I have Toyworld Bii, and he's okay, but no fun to transform, very plasticky, and has a horrible face. MP-21 blows him out of the water! (In my opinion, of course - obviously you don't think so.   )

 

Here's the thing: Bee transforms from the SD, penny-racer form of the Beetle in the show. Even making that concession, there's NO WAY to make a perfectly accurate screen version without cheating. Heavily. So while this isn't my favorite MP either, I think given their limitations they did a pretty good job.
