Hated everything about FOC and DOTM, so I'm not digging this.

 

I doubt they'd rename the game if it's just an HD makeover. It'd probably be called "X Edition" at most.

 

Kinda seems like it's going to be a campaign that alternates between universes and their respective stories.

 

This is WFC3. Their combining the Cybertron universe with the movie universe. This game will wrap up the FOC storyline while leading into AOE.

No they are not. These universes are separate. They are crossing over, not combining. Movie continuity is completely separate from the Aligned continuity.

 

I am excited, but it looks completely copied, not even any new weapons in this trailer.

Cautiously excited for this, and it'll be interesting to see how the movieverse designs mingle with the clunky/bloated Cybertron designs. Gameplay is what I'm really interested in. The graphics are pretty damn good also. Same gameplay as FOC it seems like, but the AOE TFs may have slightly different gameplay

Going through the black hole (which I recall was referred to by Ratchet as being unstable and not knowing what will happen when passed through) must have sent them to a parallel Earth. It's combining a movie game and FOC sequel into one sexy game! I hoped High Moon wouldn't be making a new game but, judging from all the assets used from the last game, it must be them. Still, they weren't credited at all so this might just be a cheap movie tie-in that's serving a sequel to FOC sadly... As long as this has been in development for 2 years though, I don't care.

Show me your source that EXPLICITLY states that. Otherwise, stop presenting your interpretation as fact.

 

HMS isn't developing it... bit weary about that bit... I mean it could be just Activision/Hasbro taking advantage of the assets, throwing remnants of that universe (and Engine) to push a cash grab of a tie-in for the Movie...

It'll no doubt work... because the game was entertaining/successful enough... even if it's just rehashed with added Movieverse elements...

It's a crossover, so doubtful. This is basically at best one of those type of deals where you take two franchises and have something crazy happen to fuel hype/attention for both... or in this case one... since it's all Transformers (but of two universes).

Would make the movieverse an even more confusing mess... no offense to the games... but it would.

As is, WfC/FoC is supposed to be part of the Aligned Continuity, which Prime is also supposed to be part of... and the two storylines and design elements have some pretty serious disparities that make this not so feasible... and yet Hasbro insists they're the same Universe so... last thing you need is to shoehorn the movies into it.

 

This should be fun!  

 

This is what I expect as well. The fact that we saw no new assets (at least Cybertron wise. Don't care about the movie designs enough to recognize them) supports this theory.

 

So is it just me or was that lockdown stepping off the ship and then fighting Optimus, and for some reason we're back on Cybertron, but the game looks good but I'm still curious as to why the two universes are coming together
