I think the first piece comes out for the Super Bowl and a teaser right after that.

Ehhh? Why have a teaser after the trailer for Super Bowl.? shoudn't it be the other way around.?

Yeah, this is the exact same thug we got with ROTF! We got a teaser during Super Bowl and teaser trailer shorty after. Was kinda hoping for it to happen this month, but we wouldn't of have got anything rather interesting! Can't wait till' February!

Probably because the title of this story is misleading by using the word "trailer." Bay never said that. He said the first "piece" would be ready for the Super Bowl and then the teaser after. I have a feeling the Super Bowl spot will be more of a teaser than a trailer as well.

Then again, we did get a decent trailer for the last movie during the SB. Who knows.

The Super Bowl piece is just a TV spot. (<30sec) Not a trailer. And the "teaser trailer" isn't a full trailer. (~45-90sec) A "trailer" is the long version shown in front of a film at the theater. (~2.5min)

    *Generally. Not an exact science*

At least the superbowl is early in Feb this year, sometimes its the 2nd or 3rd weekend. Just under 2 months till the "official" reveal, so i'm sure toy and other reveals will sneak out soon enough

Always the first Sunday, if it's in February.

And the first footage being a Superbowl spot is a genius move. I remember going absolute apeshit at the DOTM spot.

Yes! There's just something about seeing it in an official reveal, not to mention along side all of the other new commercials and the big game. *EXCITEMENT*

Geography and time passage and day of night transition isn't mike's strong point - unless he deliberately wanted his movies to look "Unearthly" more likely he's just a lazy hollywood director who does not care that you can't drive several hundred miles from The Hoover Dam to LA and somehow miss out all the stuff between them like you know Mountains, rivers railyards and stuff in under 4 minutes when Decepticons (most of which can fly) still somehow can't catch you when they seem to have seen you leave and are chasing you at the time.

Oh unless Bumblebee can drive faster than an Alien jet a Helicopter and a F-22 Fighter plane.

I still think TF2007 would have benefited from a Mountain tunnel helicopter chase along with a great many other things beside at least to explain how they lost the Decepticons to show the area around the dam off better and to give Blackout something cool to do.

That said and my bitchyness aside - I can see a slighty tonal difference in this movie just from the onset stuff and the set photography and other things... I think Bay's thinking more Armageddon ish this time.

Well looks like there's another reason to watch the Super Bowl aside from the commercials.
