Thanks for respecting my opinion   I really like G1 even though I did not grew up with it, but I would not buy all the Masterpiece figures just because I have no "soft spot" for it. But I have to agree that I do respect and enjoy the series that started it all a lot.

 

Man.. I think that was the worst Optimus of the Unicron Triology.

 

Yes same your logic see how they pull it off hot tall he will mostly but im for anoyone else for starsaber im not that familer with character but waste of character with him unless they make other autobot that combines with starsaber somefans want the other character that combines with starsaber takara dont make him stasaber will be waste, while others starsaber is enough alone to please fans.

Armad OP can fly w/ Jetfire, those giant underarm cannons make his toy semi-unbalanced, and savage claw mode was... pretty cool  

 

I'd buy it for sure if it's Star Saber. Takara would be smart to go with SS since they can release a MP Victory Leo that can combine with Star Saber and rake in even more money.

 

In the series, the toy version of the savage claw mode was... meh.

 

I guess it depends with Op you mean. Bendy Prime is awesome.
But (Personally) i've always hated Optimus that merge with their trailer to form a Diffrent looking Bot. So Armada Primes "Trailer Legs" & combo mode head kill it for me. Cybertron Prime uses his Trailer as armor but he's still there. Also people forget, G1 was G1 back then, we didn't have Classics or any series that was a straight callback, so the Energon throwbacks were supercool, and Cybetron Prime IS a love letter to G1 Optimus outside his armor.

 

well armada op had a FAR superior toy to cybertron op, but cybertron op did look pretty cool in his combined modes in the show

Armada, For me at least, Has one of the Best stories. And when I say "Armada". I mean both the Comic and the Show. Yes. The show had it's flaws.All shows have their flaws. But with Armada the characters truly made me interested. Especially Starscream. Some characters got a really interesting new look. Such as Scavenger who, while still a construction vehicle, was not only an autobot, but he was the one who TRAINED Optimus Prime to be a fighter.

Optimus actually had a personality and showed actual emotion at times. He was silent for a portion of the show because he didn't trust Jetfire and need to act alone. when it came to the humans He cared for them all and loved to learn about their human ways when the Autobots weren't hunting Decepticons.

Starscream Had joined the decepticons at the very start. He joined with the intent of following the original Decepticon cause. Not to wreck and rule. But to eventually fight to see equality. There were times when evil overtook and he had to fight back. When Megatron and the other decepticons tricked Starscream and abandoned him, he snapped. He literally had to fly back on his own without a spacebridge and when he got back he wrecked the decepticon base. He charged at Megatron with the intent to lash out but not harm. Yes he did let his thoughts control him but he did hold back enough not to harm Megatron. He then joined the autobots and grew a friendship with Alexis. Even though the others (including Optimus) were still on the fence about trusting him the humans took that opportunity to try to convince Starscream that they are good people. Jetfire despised him. By the end Starscream turned out to be a FANTASTIC character with an awesome personality. He fought Galvatron and lost. galvatron, after watching Starscream die, Followed his dying wish. I cried at both Smokescreen's and Starscream's death.

Smokescreen and Cyclonus in this series were both just fun characters. But were 2 sides of the same coin. Smokescreen took fun in everything but did so with a calm mind. He knew when enough was enough. As for Cyclonus he took fun in everything and was crazy about it. He never wanted the party to stop and he loved fighting and destroying. Both share similar qualities but overall represent 2 outcomes of the same character pathway.

Megatron fought Optimus because he loved to fight. Not to truly be evil but because Optimus was for all intense and purposes the perfectly opposition to Megatron. When Optimus died Megatron was like "Oh shit, what have I done"? He wanted a good fight ever since the war started and Optimus gave that fight to him in the most SPECTACULAR TF fight ever. When Optimus lost his shit at the end of the series Galvatron had fun with every part of that fight. He doesn't care what happens around him. Just so long as it pisses Optimus to the point where he will confront him. In all honesty I think it was all a HUGE stress test for Optimus. I believe Megatron wanted the Mini-cons for the power to be on equal terms with Optimus Prime. In every mission he tells the other decepticons that Optimus is his and his alone to fight.

Sideways...as Unicron. Holy fucking shit that was the best plot twist ever. Sideways/Unicron in my opinion figured he'd stick around earth out of curiosity. He wanted to know what his opposition was in terms of Domination of the universe and who would try to fight him. I loved Sideways because he let curiosity get the better of him and he had 1 goal. To collect the 3 minicon weapons.

Hot shot is a bit of a rip off of Bumblebee I know. But there were times when I loved Him. Such as when after Starscream joined the Autobots. He was hellbent on beating the shit out of him. He stuck to his beliefs no matter what and as a result he became leader of the autobots. something that I myself didn't expect and Optimus OFFERED it to him. But that was more of an Optimus knew he was next in line and saw this as a test to see what kind of leader Hot Shot would Become. Had he of taken it without second thought he would've been seen as a reckless leader. Hot Shot in very many ways was the cause of Prime Smokescreen, I think his personality is HEAVILY based off of Hot Shot. I could go on. But there's way too much to talk about. I honestly don't understand why people hate the show so much. Perhaps a majority didn't even give the show a chance which is disappointing because it's a great adventure.
