Because we like him. What does the rarity or price of a G1 toy have to do with anything? Has that had any bearing whatsover on any previous Masterpiece toy? G1 Prime is a dime a dozen and he's already gotten two MP toys.  

Also this is a Japanese poll that Japanese fans (primarily) voted on for a Japanese release. Star Saber is incredibly popular in Japan and always has been.

 

That and Armada is my FAVORITE TF Series.

 

I really hope this is PowerMaster Prime...

 

WOW! Ok no sarcasm, explain that one to me..... I mean, AMAZING finale' but.... The rest of the series... I was bouncing off the walls excited when the first episode aired, then turned it off out of boredom 1/2 way through.... (Unless you mean the comic.... cause the comic was awesome)

 

This. If I had to guess, I'd wager these were ALL ideas of things that they want to do, and this "winner" was just a way to pick who goes first.

 

Well it's my favorite series too, so...

 

Thats cool. But I've never met someone who said Armada was their favorite, so I'm legitimately curious what criteria earns it that moniker.

 

I think it has something to do with the fact that this was the first Transformers cartoon that I watched and what brought me to this brand.

 

With Ultra Magnus already in the works i'd say a Powermaster Prime/God Ginrai is gonna happen someday. Takara can't stay away from the repaints. I'll take one for sure, but Victory Saber does sound good as well.

 

They might have been kids when it was airing and have a nostalgia for it that us older folks wouldn't be in tune with. I thought it was terrible but I liked the toys. I can say the same for G1 even though I grew up with it. I still watch G1 and I'll always have a soft spot for it but I would never argue that G1 is a good show.

And there you go.   By the way Niv3k, while I may not have liked Armada I respect your opinion. Shows we watched as kids can have a powerful connection with us.

 

If anybody else wins besides Fort Max it will be a waste of plastic...I mostly just want to see how they pull that off.

Armada OP was definitely the best OP from the Unicron Trilogy, and all the G1 guys other than Fort Max aren't that great. But I have a feeling that Star Saber is going to win, even though I feel HasTak is going to make a Generations toy of him sooner or later. If Armada OP wins that would be amazing imo.

 

Seriously, I do want someone else more than Optimus, Megatron, Star scream(or seeker remote). Rodimius is bad.
Grimlock and Soundwave is good.

People clearly did not think this through. Should've been Dia Atlas, then they'd almost have no choice but to back-fill the rest of the leaders.
