Generations Rhinox And Doubledealer Loose Samples - Transformers News - TFW2005

 

Yeah, those are definitely the Hasbro versions.

Rhinox looks really cool (he has the Maximal insignia on his temples and everything!), but whilst Doubledealer isn't an ugly figure by any means, I'm still not sold on turning a doublespy-type figure into a triple changer. Yes, the jet mode has that nosecone deco, but it isn't like he can roll up to the Decepticon base in tank mode then transform to jet mode for a chat with Megatron. The original toy's vulture mode was one of two primary/robot modes, not an alt mode.

I still wish we got a Flywheels out of that mould instead...

 

Sweet. Rhinox's guns could use some silver.

 

Rhinox looks cool. I'm not going to get him because i'm not a fan of Beast Wars, but those who are should be very happy with this. The head sculpt on Double Dealer is spot on, but thats about it. He's basically as advertised, Blitzwing with a new head, easy pass for me

 

The big question is, have the shoulders been fixed on doubledealer? Looking at hat pic, I dont think so. I dont want to go through that again, and it may be a pass if they arent. If so, then a maybe. I just wish he had more remolding ala Sandstorm, new weapons, etc.

Doubledealer, I've no personal interest in owning, but I think Hasbro was doing us a solid, so many people were commenting that he could be used as a placeholder Overlord until something better comes along, I think they went with someone who has a similar enough paint scheme where a head swap could achieve that,

 

Doubledealer works better as Overlord IMO

 

Still no shoulder fix on the Blitzwing mold.

I actually want Overlord in a new mold all together, I can't see using the Blitzwing mold for him at all, IMO Flywheels would be a better choice.

 

both are looking good but unfortunately not on my radar though i might eventually look to pick up DD if only for the head

 

Yeah, that's how swords are supposed to be held. Good job figuring that one out, Lena.

Check out Peaugh's video review of Blitzwing for a way to add a lot more stability to the shoulders.

 

Ugly looking back on Rhinox there but the front looks awesome!

 

I wonder if there's a way to break up the back a bit more on Rhinox? I'll wait for Lena to list a bazillion cheap Rhinoxes before committing, just like she did with the Calvin Johnson Megatron.

I dont know where Hasbro got the idea that Blitzwing's mold would work for Double-dealer??? Come on! Double-dealer is a missile truck and a vulture, not a tank and a jet!!!! I would have to see DD in hand before i bought him.

Looks like the only new voyager i would get would be Whirl!

Doubledealer I could care less about. Not liking that retooled head.
