Let's see here, eighty bucks, plus the membership fee (which I'll never use again, or bother renewing), and that's already ten bucks more than normal retail. Not including the gas needed to get to the nearest Costco (roughly an hours drive away), which actually wouldn't be too bad, but still...

    Not worth it.

I'd say that the only way this would be worthwhile is if someone already has a membership or knows someone else that does.

One way around the membership: If you know someone with a membership, have them buy you a $10 (or more if you want) CostCo gift card. Then you can use the gift card to buy Metroplex (or whatever) and pay the excess with your credit card or cash.

CostCo doesn't accept most credit cards. Only American Express.

Folks who aren't already members will no doubt need to know this....

They had that metallic gold Battle Ops Bumblebee for Christmas 2010, and so far as I know, that deco was never sold anywhere else (in the States). Costco exclusives are hit-and-miss, but I think there's a fair chance Metroplex will have some difference to the retail version, even if it is just some pack-in Legends.

Wasn't that RID Prime yellow repaint a Costco exclusive as well?

I am not sure if this was posted, but I am sure the Costco one will be a bit different and have more goodies. Reason I say that is because of Movie Bumblebee. So it will be interesting to see the changes they do to him. If it is the same as the SDCC I am going to feel real dumb for my camping out.

Metallic Bumblebee was in TJMaxx for a while, in the States, for about $35. That's when I bought mine.

Metroplex at CostCo at $80. I hope it stays at that in Canada, at that price i would totally go for a Metroplex.

UGH! No Costco near me. Only Sam's. Damn the luck... but I did already have him. What a great deal.

meh i am happy with what i paid and given its a hour drive to my nearest Costco and I'd have to buy a membership i would barely use it would probably end up costing more than what i did pay.
