By signing up for Fun Pub, you would get an e-mail notification for the registration. Plus, your registration would be slightly cheaper. Last year, the protoform package was $175 for club members vs. $250 for non-members. Next year's brochure will give a more accurate price for the convention in Pasadena.

Sounds good, I'll make sure I do that immediately.

So with all this talk about "getting these Botcon figures with the Primus package"....are their any rumors or speculations what they might be this year?

Plenty of speculations, but nothing (to the best of my knowledge) based on any actual knowledge, so I wouldn't even characterize them as "rumors" in the conventional sense.

They clearly want to do something special, given it's the 30th anniversary, but your guess is as good as mine (and, frankly, anyone else's) at this point.

You know, I've been considering purchasing golden ticket... But still unsure about it. Sure I'd like to do the meet & greet & dinner on Friday with the guests (assuming they'll have some BW voice actors there). Do they announce guests before or after registration? I forget. But then I'd also like to have a guaranteed front row seat at any panels. Also, picking my stuff up on Wednesday night is another pro. Still not sure it's worth $600+ though. And that's assuming they keep it priced the same as it has been the last 2 years.

They announce very few before registration but most of them are announced after registration. The golden ticket might go up a bit and it is limited. In 2012, there was only about 75 golden tickets. The only benefits to the golden ticket as you mentioned are the front row seats, the meet & greet, and getting the set on Wednesday. The meet & greet was about a hour. I had a golden ticket in 2012.

I know it's limited, but not a whole lot of people are going to just drop the cash on the golden ticket. This past year (when I was ordering my Iacon package), I went through the registration like 8 hours after it went live and there were still GT packages left. And weren't there less GT available this year?
Regardless, if it goes any higher than the $600 I'll probably be good with Primus package :lol  But then not having to go through the whole Thursday pre-reg wait is oh so tempting, too!
Hopefully the souvenir sets won't go up any higher than they already are either.. My first Botcon was in 2012, and I heard from other attendees that the souvenir sets were a bit sickening to them in comparison to previous years.
What I would like to do is sit through the customizing class. Hopefully since those figures aren't so limited anymore, I'll have an opportunity to do so... If not, then maybe Captured Pret & Encline can do a 3rd Party one I can attend.

There is a possibility that the prices will slightly increase. 2012 was my second Botcon and I did not go this year so I would not even know. In order to get into the customizing class, you would have to register early in the process.

I think in 2012, the souvenirs were like $90, $95, & $100. I bought 4 of each that year, and remember the total coming around the $1,200 mark :lol
This year they were $79, $89, $99, I THINK. Hopefully someone can come in here and better verify those prices.. And I know about how to register for the custom class. Forgot how much extra it is though... Oh well, I guess I'll figure it all out once registration goes live.

I hope TFCC will confirm BotCon is in California again. I can't wait to go to BotCon next year.
