Yeah, Transmutate should be left alone out of respect for that amazing episode.

Still wish they used Shockwave for Rampage. Don't really dig the FE deluxe Megs mold, but makes sense as Protoform X and not as Rampage as a whole.

Transmutate looks...surprisingly attractive. Wish they chose a smaller mold, though. Feels weird having Transmutate being almost the same size as Rampage.

If only that Shark Megatron would of been a BH Rampage instead.

Oh well, maybe Hasbro will do a Generations version one day.

Wasn't really sold on that Transmutate figure...

Till I saw the Maximals insignia.

With that, I MUST have her in my collection! :lol

When they provide us with new molds actually worth the over-the-top prices instead of worthless repaints. Then I may start thinking about even considering whether or not to buy them. Pass.

Rampage looks fantastic. Is it 2014 yet? I want him in my collection!

Transmutate has a nice deco. Nice contrast of colours, works well on the mold. I'm not heavily invested in the character or in Beast Wars characters who are not beasts, but I'll probably get her if the price is right on the strength of the deco, and because I never got the BAF Transmutate.

It's the small size of the production run that puts up the cost. New tooling (which for info you're getting for free on Rampage) also costs. A complete new mold for even a modest run of say 10'000 would not be feasible. Brain and Pete are on record saying this most Botcons. They'd love to offer an exclusive mold, but with the cost of making it so, it is just not doable.

If you think remoulds have over-the-top-prices, then the cost of a completely new mould would bring tears to your eyes.

Same here. I love this mold and already have entirely too many versions of it, but the colors are molding on this are must have.

I keep hearing this excuse, yet I see 3rd parties making and selling small runs of new molds in the $80-$100 range all of the time. The "not-Throttlebots" are sold for around $60 each, and they are deluxe sized new molds. Many other examples exist. I think it is a tired and worn out excuse for not offering completely new product through the club. If Hasbro cannot keep up with 3rd parties in terms of pricing on small runs, maybe we need an unofficial fan club that can meet demand.

Good point, but you're not considering other factors. Salaries? Licensing? Budgets?

It's been well documented that some 3rd party companies are fans who design toys with other full time jobs. The sale of their product does not necessarily mean it translates to money in their pockets (salaries, etc.)

I'd honestly welcome a 3rd Party Club ... so I'm not disagreeing with you, but there are other factors to this.
