And Bludgeon just got damn scary. He's the commander of an unstoppable apocalyptic killing army with a death wish. Which means that he will not stop, even if defeat is certain. He'll just destroy all he can in a blaze of glory. And to top it off, I've been skeptical of how much control he'll have of his army - using Matrix energy to animate an army of death machines is kinda an instant bad idea as far as villains go- you don't make a powerful army sentient; it's common sense. But it's not that he's that stupid - it's that HE DOESN'T CARE. Frightening.
The looks WONDERFUL to my eyes. I wish Guido could have been drawing from the start. His art with Baskerville's inking reminds me of the Wildman of old. Looking forward to this. -ZacWilliam, not to disrespect Wildman, I love him of old, but this looks more like what I hoped for this book visually from the start.
Which is cover A and what is B? We're getting both MTMTE 19 and Regen next week? Awesome. I prefer getting two in a week rather than one.
Holy god, that first page is absolutely spectacular! Just... amazing, Regen has definitely been picking up as of late too, I'm really looking forward to this.
Is it me or does that art look more Wildman than Wildman? Guido, you slick sonova... Amazing work. Looking forward to this in a "they're all gonna die, can't look" kind of way
And this is how I always how I pictured Bludgeon in my mind after the ramming he got by Prime and the resurrected Autobot's in issue 80. Bludgeon has an endgame and he knows death awaits him at the end of it and yet he still doesn't care because he is going to meet his enemy and die with honor. Bludgeon has that Warrior's Pride complex that Dinobot is known all to well for in Beast Wars and look how well that worked for him.
Loving that artwork. Sad this book is ending at 100...only comic I've bought in two decades... ~M TFL: jparnold
Should have looked like this from the start. It was the art style people wanted from the last issues of the original series, not the artist. I liked Wildman's old work but not his new work.
I love Wildman's old art and it's what I grew up on. But It was just too flat. This is so much more dynamic and much closer to my childhood memories of what it was like to open a G1 tf comic!
Here's hoping for an epic Galvatron/ Magnus showdown. Loving Guido's work too. He's really working well with Baskerville to bring out the classic look. And great blocking and composition also.
