Well that's utter disappointment. So glad that the generations line isn't going this route.

so the lesson is stop criticizing because hasbro knows what's good for you, and you as a (potential) paying customer have no legitimate rights and reasons to complaint about the product you (would've) bought, because they might just make it worse? i guess living in the walled ghettos is better than being starved and gassed at the concentration camps (yes i just godwinned the thead for a $13 toy)

First off, punctuation, it is good for you. Secondly, you want to influence Hasbro´s decisions? Vote with your wallet. Bitching about it on the Internet accomplishes nothing.

i always vote with my wallet, and i know bitching on the internet accomplishes nothing directly, but word of mouth can indirectly influence how other people vote with their wallets. why settle for only your 'vote' when you can use the internet as potential force multiplier.

You don´t need to influence people here to no buying these things. I know I won´t.

Making noise probably won't accomplish a lot, but it certainly can't hurt either. They specifically referenced fan displeasure at the smaller sizes at yesterday's panel, so it may at the very least be helping to get the message out there.

obviously people who read/post on these forums are fans that follow the brand and already made up their minds about these guys. if enough of these fans get emotionally riled up that they advice their friends/family not to buy these then the goal to exert greater influence on hasbro's decision is accomplished. ultimately it's futile trying to convince the opposite side to change their mind in a debate, the real goal is to convince the on the fence bystanders to agree with your side so you can have greater influence over whatever issue on hand.

This is all so very true.

I'm sure they'll announce at Toy Fair, "Hey guys, remember how you all wanted Que, Soundwave and Dino from DotM? Well guess what!"

And then reveal upscaled Legends of those instead.

I wonder what Takara is planning on making in 2014...

I may be alone in this, but I would've gladly paid for an oversized Hun-Grr. I would trade both Twinstrike and Windrazor for that alone.

So they upsize the legends terrorcons, but remove the ability to combine?
    Ok....

I wanted them as Extra Predacons not just so they can stomp on Ultra Magnus as a Gestalt.

I notice Blight (Blot) in the previous episode and perhaps Windrazor too so having ones I can have displayed with Laserback or the like is what appeals to me.

I am saddened by the simple nature and the possibility that these toys mean Characters may be increasingly unlikely to get a regular toy because of them, and yes Smokescreen and Bumblebee border on a personal insult to the fandom - but a lot of the damage limitation will be down to how they package them.

I would not for example that Rescuebots are twice the size of a normal deluxe (in mass) and also have bu***r all joints.

I'll be a lot happier with this idea if they make all 5 Predacon-Terrorcons (combining or not) and if they keep the idea of a multiplicity of Bumblebee and Smokescreen repaints in check. it is a bit depressing though that unless they move on to better moulds then the whole line will have less joints than a Fast Action Battler often does.

If they actually get around to doing all 5 Predacon-Terrorcons then I'll be happy if they don't and stop at two i'll not be impressed at all as to me the Predacon-Terrocons are the main excuse to the line in the 1st place.

obviously you didn't see the tag saying "deluxe class" or notice how some of the ball joints were turned into pin joints. They are cyberverse. But they are just bigger versions with a few tweaks. For instance the terrorcon versions no longer combine. Fuck Hasbro. In the photo in the display case it literally says DELUXE.

I'm kinda on the fence as far as TF4 is concerned as well. I think 3 is enough, much like Generation1. 1, 2, and 3 being the apex. :)

Because Prowl in this contiuity actually has a design and him using the Smokescreen mold was genius.

Wouldn't have turned down a set of Terror/Preds that combine but even as simplified as they are if all are made at this size I'll be down for grabbing them all.

At first, I honestly thought it was a typo.

If this is true, (and the price tells it all) these are terrible. A step backwards...

My money will not be going to Hasbro. Its going to 3rd party figures...
